88 Minutes Al Pacino is a god to me.  I look forward to any chance to see him in a new movie. Even when the movie itself isn't so great, like this one. In 88 Minutes , you race around Seattle...you're like me, you won't be too impressed.  "Oh.  So that's it." But some would say that it's not the destination that matters, it's getting there. And "getting there" with Al is always a blast

The Happening I had heard this movie wasn't so hot, but I wanted to see for myself.  It wasn't a terrible movie.  The idea was interesting.  The murder/suicide scenes were shocking and brutal. But the characters were truly unlikable, and the dialog was sub-par. Still, worth a watch - if only for the environmental discussions/debates it will likely bring up...

Светлячки в саду . ( Деннис Ли, 2008, США, Fireflies in the Garden ) Фильм впечатляет, в первую голову, своим достаточно солидным для полнометражного дебюта кастингом. Сами посудите: Уильям Дефо, Джулия...таки элегичными тонами. Все спокойно, все в порядке. Ну и актеры, конечно же, по местам и свое дело знают четко и тонко, даже «чирлидерша из Героев» ходит в обтягивающих трусах и майке со знанием дела.

Mike Leigh is one of my favorite film makers, but I didn't really connect with his last two movies, All or Nothing or Vera...able to save the Scotts, and the Scotts probably aren't going to dramatically change into happy people. However, Happy-Go-Lucky did make me want to be more like Poppy - a strong and positive force
