On a basic level, I understand the comparison of No Country for Old Men to the Coen Brother's earlier films Fargo and Blood Simple - but in many ways their newest film is a culmination of their entire...together - letting us know what is off screen, pressing down, affecting and as important as what is on screen. The ending is a graceful moment of dialogue, setting this thriller apart from all others

If Diablo Cody doesn't win a screenplay Oscar for this film, the world is completely messed up. The more I think about this film, the more I love it.  Initially, I had issue with how non-chalant the..., so I may be a little biased.  There was too little Michael Cera, but he was love when on-screen. Definite recommendation to see this film.  It's another "Little Miss Sunshine" in the making!

The original Shrek film mercilessly skewered Disney, the Disney Corporation, Walt Disney and the entire canon of Disney animated films. Enchanted takes the high road and pays homage to them. As a... in particular. If there was even a contest, this film is the feel good film of the year. Nothing so fun as laughing at Disney while also - remembering that kid inside - smiling along with it

I really like how Tim Burton films movies.  He's got a great style.  Otherwise, this film was only o.k.  Loved Depp & Bonham-Carter, but would have loved them more had this not been a musical.  I get that this is supposed to be a musical & singing about eating people is pretty cool (?), but I'd love to see this outside of the musical realm.    The film is pretty gory, but still worth seeing.

I'm not sure the movie was all that great.  Yeah, it's somewhat "historical" and it's news I'm sure I should know about, but sorry, I just wasn't that interested.  However,  the acting is what made the film.  Hanks, Roberts, Adams, & Hoffman were all great.  They all have good comedic timing, too.  Worth seeing for the actors alone.

I Am Unimpressed. Actually, it wasn't terrible.  It just wasn't all that great.  Will Smith was great, of course.  I pretty much like him in anything, but this film was a little slow.  I don't know. ...me - it's something that happens to a "character".  I almost got up & left at that point.  I can't handle those types of death. It's probably worth a rental, but I don't recommend theater time.

 Sorry, but "fog" just isn't that scary.  The Mist was a 2-hour bore.  The last 15 minutes helped redeem the film a little bit - it totally wasn't a cop-out, but other than that it wasn't worth watching... aliens, dinosaur-looking things, whatever you want to call them, just don't scare me. Marcia Gay Harden was great, though.  Possibly worth a rental for the last 15 mins. alone, but not worth theater time.

 "I want the fairytale." Ok, Enchanted was sappy, sweet, and girly and no guys will like it, but it was really good.  It was funnier than I expected (mostly coming from Pip, the chipmunk!).  It was...of waiting to find "the one".  Amy Adams is spectacular.  Patrick Dempsey is beautiful.  And Susan Sarandon was creepily good. It made me think that love may actually exist.  Definitely worth seeing.

Like vampire movies? This is a vampire movie you'll love. The concept is so deceptively simple, it's a wonder it has never been done before. A town in northern Alaska, about to go through thirty days...a film doesn't need to be more than what the poster says it is - especially when it is executed this well. It's frightening, above all else. And disturbing. And damn scary. What more do you want

So, Steve Carell is o.k.  I've never watched him in The Office .  I've only seen part of The 40-Year-Old Virgin .  I did enjoy him in LIttle Miss Sunshine .  I saw the previews for this film & thought...It was quite slow.  There are also scenes in the trailer that aren't in the film - such as Carell's character teaching his daughter to drive.  Overall I wasn't that impressed.  Maybe worth a rental.
