From Fact #1: I am always getting these crazy ideas for projects. I'm really good at coming up with them, but follow-through isn't always there. However, seeing how prolific I was last year, I'll give... That's okay. Snow is falling and it's beautiful outside. It's covering anything bad and giving the world a fresh start. That's probably what's needed. I look forward to tomorrow and the year ahead

I think I've mentioned that I have a little notebook where I jot down notes about what I want to put here. Some of those ideas never made it to full posts, but I can't let them go to waste. I also can't...all that girly stuff. And then I get sucked into a chick flick and start sobbing like a baby, and that confirms I'm really a girl. I can't believe the year finally is over. Only one more day to go

I had another one for today, but I'll save it for tomorrow, as this one is timely. For years I've had a strong internal clock. I'm not saying I always know what time it is, but I can generally wake up...a power outage, and according to the blinking time on the clock it was only 4:59. Whoops. So, apparently, my internal clock only had a 30-year warranty. Rats. I wonder if you can reset it somehow..

Okay, here's my little secret: I am a packrat. I come from a family of packrats, to some degree. Part of it is laziness, meaning the inability to want to clean things up and cull unused items from the...I can, in fact, find new homes for the pieces I tried to own but instead owned me. I enjoy donating things to charity, for example. I just hope that what I donate is actually useful to somebody else

I knew my 30th year would be interesting. If only I'd known the extent. On the occasion of my 29th birthday, I noted some ways I hadn't changed in the previous year. I still lived at home, I still was...30 so far, but then of course we haven't yet hit December. I think I'm glad Year 30 is over with, and that 2007 is coming to a close. Perhaps 2008 will turn out great. And may Year 31 be lots of fun

This year had so much good in it, but it started off with bad. December struck again; my great-aunt died, almost two years to the day after her husband, my grandfather's brother, passed. And then that...to spend part of your birthday alone with him, even if it was while working. At least Year 29 went well, because Year 30...well...you've probably experienced it with me, but I'll recap it tomorrow

This was one of those life-changing years. I don't say that lightly. I'm not one who takes chances, who shakes my life up, but I did that in Year 27. January of 2004 kicked it off. I actually gave three...frighten me, but that's another story. As much as I'd stopped wanting to be a teacher, I will never regret this experience. Ever. I'm trying to think if anything super-duper happened this year. I'm drawing a blank. At the bookstore, we did keep the skanky manager for about a year. Since the company had moved her to this area, she...just realized that technically the above paragraph belongs in Year 26, but because my great-aunts died just five weeks apart I consider their deaths one entity. Besides, plenty would happen in 2003..

Year 23 was probably my most trying, aside from this past year. Because I had gone back to school after graduation, money was an issue. I'd already gone to school for four years, never mind graduated,...working there. I made the music store my more full-time job, stretching my hours per day to 8 M-Th, and I worked at the bookstore on Friday nights and Sundays. This would continue for several years

My school was on a sort of tri-term system, meaning I started later and ended later than most college students. It also meant I had a large break between Thanksgiving and New Year's, perfect for getting...stuff...yeah, my boss was not too thrilled to see me. Whoops. Really, I learn from my mistakes, and I've made some good ones over the years. Some of them were to come in the not-too-distant future..
