I am sad to tell you Don LaFountaine died this week of heart diesase. He was a announcer who did many movie trailer announcements for movies, and was best seen in a Geico commercial. Don LaFountaine was 68 when he died. He will be deeply missed.
...11th grade year, I got depressed and let my grades slip. I left high school in 2002. Got my GED in May 2003. Was supposed to go to college. Went to college and left after a year in 2005. I didn't even do well in college. Even though the work was not hard at all. And now, I have nothing to show for it. I wonder should I go back and finish college or just move to Los Angeles and pursue acting.....?
Kay I am so pissed off at myself. I told myself that I would not let Rhys back into my life, like he was. I told myself that I would have my guards up. Okay so I still have them up. But he has just waltzed...scene I play a different character, I am laughing and joking. Feel so much like I have a personality disorder. But I love it, love the roller coaster of emotions that I get to act, I feel so badass!
Yo? What? Yo?! Did you just fucking YO me? You just yo’d me? Do I look like a YO to you? I have a name? What’s my name? Say my name. Huh? That’s right, Kiiiiirby. That is my name. KIRBY. ...aloud!! (to himself) …Schmuck… (phone rings) Hello? Yo, what’s up?! How have you been buddy? Long time, long time. lolz~ http://monologueblogger.com/2007/11/30/yo-serio-comedy-1-minute/
Don LaFontaine , the voiceover actor best known for a countless and unique set of movie and television trailers, died today. If you're wondering "who?", watch this biographical video and achieve enlightenment.
You probably don't know his name, but he was one of my industry heroes. Don LaFontaine has passed away . Sadly, I never got to meet him (though I worked with his wife once, and I understand he was in...heard his voice. It's, in fact, quite normal to sit down in the theater and have every trailer voiced by him. His voice crossed genres, media, and generations. His talents will be sorely missed
...she literally CRIED over it-she was so sad! The thing I don't understand is she would LOVE for me to be a singer or a dancer-both of those fall under "performer/may-or-may-not-happen" jobs JUST LIKE ACTING. So, why can I do those and not acting? What's the difference? I'd be just as famous as a dancer on "Dancing With The Stars" (she wants me to be one of the perfessionals) or a singer. Why is acting...
I did my appearance at The Jerry Lewis telethon and it went good. I had my puppets singing "Abundance and Charity" from A CHRISTMAS CAROL and I believe I did a very good job. After my appearance I had breakfast at a diner and discussed with my people what I could do to make my show better and came home. http://www.mda.org Please make a donation to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy Disease
*waves* So, I have been doing Hampshire Youth Theatre the past couple of weeks. It has gone very well and been a lot of fun, as well as completely exhausting, but that's as it should be. We're not quite...us no end of amusement, and the venue was tiny enough that Beth and I could even see the whole band most of the time. Win! Anyway. Probably time to go and be scared of the builders some more. Whoo
