Lost Prompt: P Word Count: 240   Lost   He was driving and driving for hours, he wasn’t sure where he was going, he wasn’t sure where he had been.  He passed by endless miles of fields, small...was standing outside, staring at the sky.   He slowly drove into the station, he took a deep breath.  There was no turning back, it was finally time.   “Which way is it to Childress?” he asked.

  A little one-shot, 400 words, rated G.   Disclaimer: The Brokeback Mountain characters belong to Annie Proulx.     The Fifteenth of August “Hey Ennis, can’t you get away from that damn TV... and all beautiful young bodies, so shiny and firm, glistening in the sun and the lights.   “It is better like this” Jack said again, and they both knew that it was the truth.        

Another drabble, 340 words, rated G, canon or post canon.   Disclaimer:  The Brokeback Mountain characters belong to Annie Proulx.   The Four Walls Sometimes the four walls seemed like old...the other scents from those days, from so very long ago.   And in those hours, the four walls would be gone, and he would be back on the Mountain, looking down upon the world, with Jack.  

This one has been in my head for a long time, but it finally got written tonight. This is pure canon, with a tiny change, 660 word, rated PG, full of angst.   Disclaimer: The Brokeback Mountain characters...just one month to go” Ennis whispered, then he put his head down on the table, and closed his eyes, still clutching the postcard, finally seeing the light after this, the darkest of nights.    

I wasn’t sure about that last one, so I had to write one more, 350 words, rated G. Disclaimer: The Brokeback Mountain characters belong to Annie Proulx.    Shadows It didn’t matter if...the shadows  reappeared, looming large and heavy as ever, but now strangely comforting too, for behind them was the promise, that the better days were just beyond, waiting for him to make his way. .

I was thinking I ought to take a break from writing, but this came to me, and I had no choice. This is canon, or canon fill-in, 1036 words, rated G.   Disclaimer: The Brokeback Mountain characters belong...wave to come by.   Jack sighed and turned away, he couldn’t bear look at him any longer, then he began to walk back to the truck, leaving the sea behind him.  It was time to go home.     I 

  A Chronic City one-shot, 686 words, rated PG.   Disclaimer: The Brokeback Mountain characters belong to Annie Proulx.     Chronic City: To Be in The Clouds   An airplane passed not...   Ennis put his hand on Jack’s hand and then he brought it to his lips.  ”It’s somethin’ like this” Ennis whispered, and then he stood up, still holding Jack’s hand, and led the way downstairs.

A canon drabble, 350 words, rated G.   Disclaimer: The characters belong to Annie Proulx.     No Other Choice   He didn’t want to go home.  Not on this day. Not when the breeze was so gentle... filled with bitterness and regret.   Ennis wiped the last few tears away, and glanced at the mountains, dark shadows in the night sky.   He didn’t want to go home, but for now, there was no other choice.
