Had a pretty productive day at work again, did a lot of 3D modeling and wrote some important emails. Then I found out my boss had already emailed one of the people I emailed, about the exact same thing...second car). But wouldn't it be better to take the corvette with you where ever you are going after getting the drink? Maybe they were going to visit a friend who lived on a street with lots of potholes
I am totally emotionally and physically 100% unprepared to leave Trinity House. I am not packed, leaving in less than 12 hours. Saying goodbyeforever is emotionally draining. I can't complain though...I went with some kids from the conference to a show at a place called The Stove. The performers were amazing. Really awesome. me and mariah me and mike Goodbye Trinity House!
Ive mostly been using this as linkdump area this is not much different. Well its a bit more of a book review. Balcomb, Kenneth. A Boy's Albuquerque, 1889-1912. Albuquerque: University of New Mexico Press, 1980 http://www.amazon.com/Boys-Albuquerque-1898-1912-Kenneth-Balcomb/dp/0826305253 Picked it out of the mountain of books my grandfather passed on when he passed on. ...is only 1 week left of my stay at TrinityHouse. I'm pretty much a wreck. Okay it's not that bad but I'm really really going to miss this community. I regret not planning to spend more time here in Albuquerque. But basically it's been a blast. Next we're going to our friend Sam's farm to harvest soy beans. Mike, Herman and Paul Marcus Walking along the Rio Grande hair before...
Meet one of my idols today; the guy who directed United's awesome "Dragon" commercial. His new one is pretty neat too. I spent most of the day at a graphics conference, the stop-motion animation panel... But the winter still makes me happy, I like my job for the moment, and I'm feeling creative right now. If I can get at least one of these projects moving forward, I think it'll be a good winter
One of the many books I'm keeping from my grandfathers collection is titled "Historic Albuquerque Today: The Historic landmarks survey ofAlbuquerque" (C)1978 (2nd pressing) Its a pretty neatbook full of countless sites im going to have to explore (probably not grand exciting URBEX adventures, but still fun little snipplets of finding what still is around, Sadly some of it is toast gone to the...
Me and Herman (a kid from Amsterdam who was working at the LA worker too) met this guy Steven on Couchsurfing.com and he drove us to Albuquerque. I'm so happy to be out of LA. Not out of the Catholic Worker in LA but out of that grey, stinging, nasty city. "Los Angeles, I'm Yours" -The Decemberists There is a city by the sea A gentle company I don't suppose you want to And as it tells...
I don't consider myself a train buff, but I have ridden on 2 coal powered narrow gauge trains, and I have spent enough time in the Railyards to long for that smell of coal and cinder. So, going out and...having a free open house, with tours, and soda/hotdogs and such. Its both pretty Urbex and pretty Steampunk! Come with me and explore the history! http://www.nmslrhs.org/pages/open_house.html
...and the Sundance Kid, this is where the movie was filmed. Click on Image to Enlarge We continued walking the grounds and then headed to Santa Fe for lunch after which we returned to Albuquerque. Jesus is making Fajitas for dinner this evening and we are relaxing at home. I have a flight back to Kansas City at 8:45 in the morning. I really hate to go home as it has been 5 years since...
We made it to the hills just east of here on the west slope of the mountains. It was a cool but not cold morning and the hike was very nice. Click on Images to Enlarge ... We are going out in a bit to get stuff for dinner at the zoo this evening and then we will relax until Paul arrives from Los Cruses and then head off to the zoo for dinner and a performance there
