I normally hate "Fresh Air" on NPR, but for some reason last night, I kept listening when I normally wouldn't have.  To make matters worse, the featured guest was a poet, and I am one of those uncivilized...violence is hardly limited to heterosexual relationships.  That said, I'm also unwilling to ignore the fact that domestic violence, particularly the killing kind, is very often a gendered issue.

I'm just about done with this one, but as far as "classic lines from dumbass men on abortion" this is pretty epic.  Highlights include: The idea that words relating to where personhood begins with regards...the screen and bite people.  Why are people so cowardly about saying "I hate you, I think you're a moron," to the point where they leave the comment then RUN THE FUCK AWAY?  Jesus christ, sissies.

So I guess I ruffled a few feathers last week when I replied to yet another sf_drama   clusterfuck in which the topic was something relatively simple ("If you're a Catholic giving something up...my Ms. Brightside philosphy too far into Pollyanna territory sometimes, but I'd rather err on trying to create happiness instead of reminding myself how things aren't perfect in my life, ad nauseum.
