Started working on my prop for this upcoming year's project. I am experimenting with a new method for the framework that I have never tried before. So far it looks very promising and I'm very excited...see how it goes. In comparison to previous years, this will be the earliest I have ever started working on one of our cosplays. Granted, Anime Boston is nearly two months earlier this year, so... >_
The first panel I went to was the Kalafina & Garden of Sinners panel at 11 AM. I went mainly for Kalafina and Yuki Kajiura, but there was also a lot of talk about the Garden of Sinners movie, which... Anime Boston had come to an end. I hope that by next year, the economy and the industry as a whole will pick up, making for a less troubled atmosphere and more enjoyable Anime Boston 2010.
The second day of the con started for me with the Anime On DVD panel. I was pretty surprised they had one, considering AOD, as we know it, is gone, having been absorbed by Mania Entertainment. At the panel... a bunch of cosplaying con-goers had the same idea, getting a few strange looks from other shoppers. A surefire sign that there's an anime convention in town? All the good potato chips are gone.
Anime Boston 2009… Eventually. Things I learned ○ All the people I stayed with are crazy. Thus I fit in entirely too well. ○ There is CP time and Kris time. Kris time is FAR worse. :| ○ GPS =/= never...talking VAGUELY through the earplugs. Not enough that it to bother me |D~ /lazy /busy I'll do the rest eventually. Before I forget, anyway. Sunday night when we watched Taken has to be documented \
I don't think I'm going to do a day by day report....it went by so fast. T_T Uhhh costumes weren't finished in time, as usual, but they were wearable on Saturday for the Tales photoshoot, which is, I... sakurabatou as Dashing Gent!Guy thunderedge as Viscount!Asch Sora-na as long-haired Luke neko_cloe as Ion Her sister Haru as Jade :D The photoshoot was good tiemmmmsssss.
A bit late but I’m finally posting my Anime Boston report. The con was busy but I had fun. ^_^ Hi to those I saw over there. *waves to animeangel , animeangelblue , blackmarth ...day, the festival itself, and AB to process. Meanwhile, here’s a cosplay chess video I found that includes my entrance. (It’s a couple of minutes in.) That person has the rest of the game up, too.
I've had a lot of stuff to post and it was too much to post in one post so this post will only post part of it. And yes, I am trying to set a world record for the number of times saying "post" in one sentence...Taylor.) P.P.S. Also, I feel the need to point out that the song I'm listening to is a Finnish band covering an English song by a German band about a Russian guy. That's... several languages
Things kicked off at 10 AM with the Opening Ceremonies. Afterwards, I went to the Dealer's Room and picked up You're Under Arrest: The Movie (Which cost only $5 after using my ADV coupon) and Vol. 15...2009 is coming up next. Meanwhile, here's the winnder of Best Action Video at the AMV contest: A whole bunch of different anime clips done to DragonForce's "Through the Fire and Flames."
One week ago, I went off to Boston for Anime Boston 2009.While I had a good time overall, there was one dark cloud hanging over the whole thing. When AB 2008 took place, the industry was experiencing its...I've noticed about about hotel room TV's. Whether you're staying at the Sheraton of a Confort Inn, all hotel room TV's are all pretty much the same. They all suck. I'll let James Rolfe explain why:
[ music | Abingdon Boys School - Strength ] [ mood | Grateful ] Here's that promised update on AB. It took me forever to make this, so hopefully you spend a fraction of that time reading it! I actually... Feel free to critique the photos, tell me what you liked this weekend, and hey, if you were at Iron Cosplay on Friday definitely let me know how you thought it went! BYE FROM ANIMUBOSTUNZ!
