02.09.08 marks the 7th death anniversary of my maternal grandmother. 7 years ago, when i was 11, she left us to a better place with no pain, no unhappiness and no illnesses. But she broken her promise...over me, and give me strength to overcome obstacles in life. I love you forever and i promise, i'll continue the religion which you had brought to our lives and carry out what u entrusted me to do. :
*grin* Happy anniversary, Heather! *hugs* It really does seem like just yesterday when I was sitting there at your wedding ceremony and reception, meeting the infamous Steve for the first time. And...even been on Dr. Phil!! (I still have never seen the episode. *pout*) But now you have Owen and the circle of life continues. So congratulations on 5 years, my friend. You've earned them! *is proud
Have been having a fabulous weekend so far - except for the lack of J who was off buying a guitar yesterday and stayed over with my sister. Pups have been great, even though they miss their Dad. I have... I get to go for a wee swim, the first proper exercise since stopping the 4-week regime last Sunday. And most-us, best-us of all, today is out 12 year wedding anniversary :) Tonight, we get curry
We celebrated three years of marriage last Wednesday. Hubbi made reservations @ Vue de Monde ages ago, through a friend that works there. And I only got to find out the day before. Sneaky...for the dining experience. We've eaten a fair bit in our relationship and Vue has not disappointed us once with their knowledge of wines, food and customer service. Everything was immaculate.
I was watching television today and saw the most amazing news article. There was some sort of giant fossil that had washed up onto a beach somewhere in Africa. At least, I think it was Africa. I should...won't read this (he never uses Livejournal anymore) but at least I have a nice little post to remember the occassion. Love you, babe. Haha. Well, I am off to clean dishes. Chow. xxx Gene xx
I just realized that this Saturdaymarks an anniversary for me: 18 years since moving to DC! I don't count the two summers I spent back home, one because my dad was dying and my mother forbade me to stay...in NoVa, because goddamnit if you live inside the beltway, you live in DC, whether you like it or not. So, I've now lived here for exactly half my life. Wow. I so need to do something to celebrate
