Off_stretched, I am in dire need of help, someome to vent to, or a small fortune. The situation: I'm currently living at home with my father whilst I study to be a teacher, although it feels like he's...sorting out this shitstorm without me having yet another panic attack or bursting into tears again? Is there anyway in hell I can have my own personal space again, that isn't taken over by fucking boxes?
Hello! I'm moving into my first real house soon, and it badly needs a repaint. I know what to do with almost all the other rooms, but the kitchen and bathroom have me stumped. Both are currently hospital...and oddly laid out and the bathroom doubles as a laundry. I haven't moved in yet, so no pictures of the bathroom right now but here's the kitchen as it stands. I'm open to all and any suggestions.
Lets talk about the people you share your homes with and the insanely annoying shit they get up to! ... Basically I just need to rant about one of my three male house mates. My annoying house mate...playing. It also doesn't help that we live in a tiny house where the lounge room is right in the centre of the bedrooms. I would love to hear about your annoying house mates :) Share the pain.
Hey guys, I am moving to Michigan in the fall for grad school at Michigan State University. I am trying to look for apartments, but I do not know if there are good or bad areas to live in. Ergo when I paid a big check and got the key to my new apartment, I thought the big fee I was paying included the first month's rent. Now I've got this note claiming I didn't pay my rent on time and threatening to evict me. My hay fever is bothering me sufficiently...

Starting probably in April, there's a farmer's market just about a block from my apartment. I'm planning on applying for volunteer work at a library that I haven't yet visited--it's the Belmont branch, on Belmont and 39th (I'm on Salmon and 21st), so it's within walking distance...
...are common. Here you have to pay significantly more for hardwood floors, and it seems like the pretty buildings dating to the 1920s are more costly than these drab 1970s buildings. But at least my apartment building is surrounded by pretty, brightly painted Victorian houses. And cats. They're all over. I've seen at least five in the parking lot already. It's the neighborhood in general--while I...
