What a great experiment last month's poem-a-day challenge was!  And so much fun, even when it was hard as hell!  : )  Here's one last thank you to everyone who dropped in over the course of the month... kept me fired up and inspired.  I'm already looking forward to next year . . . So tune in here on April 1, 2009 -- if all goes well, you will find the first poem of a new batch of thirty! Peace

our turn this morning, the last day        of april, it snowed. for thirty minutes the light lace trimmed        the shock of fresh trees along the mountainside, peach fuzz        pale green on...end of the day tomorrow, then I'll be putting "words intended as poetry" into semi-retirement until I figure out whether I have time to blog regularly . . . or until next April -- whichever comes first!

[A 31-word...call my "portrait gallery" -- little tributes to women poets who've been important to me in some way.  Virtual smooches to the first person to comment with the name of the poet this piece celebrates!  : )

him body meant, her body meant when i left home, i left behind the weight of failure. in my desk chair, the padding unforgiving of years of pressure, neck and spine aching, i stare into the screen...home without looking back?
