I had an amazingly good time at Aralisthis past weekend. I was kept fairly busy, if not directly involved (I hope that makes as much sense to you as it does to me) - in other words, there is a lot of stuff going on in the game that I truly have no clue about yet, and many many NPCs who I don't know and don't know what they are about, but I somehow managed to get at least peripherally involved in...
On a lighter political note, here is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3ijYVyhnn0 . Aralis was...good. Very good. There were a few thingsI wish I got to do/talk about with certain people, but that's probably my own damned fault anyway. The pure joy of unloading on demons, knowing that there was a good chance it wasn't going to be enough, makes me very happy at my character and build choices. A...
I, being an idiot and/or nuts, went to two different events, as two different PCs, this weekend. Friday night was Aralis, followed by driving to Volta Sat morning to play NERO all day, then driving back to Aralis just in time to be involved in much angsting and yelling. I had a great time. Friday night was Aralis. Game seemed sorta slow starting off, we mostly hung out and talked and bitched...
Well, today it's letting me post. Yays. Anyways, so I've completed my thirdAralis painting. I was quite dissappointed with this one. I mean, I don't mind the way it turned out, but what really bothers me is that nothing stands out about it in my head. I didn't learn enough from it. My first Pellaz one, I learned how to do my own style when it came to flesh shading and whatnot. In my second Aralis...
...the other side of my office building, and stumbled across an old journal-type entry that I wrote to myself during a (boring) conference call October 12... Maybe 2004? Hmmm. Not sure. I went to NPC Aralis that weekend during a war-day, not really knowing anyone there or what was going on, but having a free day and thinking that the concept was sorta fun. "On Sunday I drove down Rt 3 to Camp...
Because I don't actually want to write up a (kind ofwhiny) post about my Aralis session: Ritual Noise, by Covenant We make ritual noise We weave the fabric of dreams We build cities of sound We feel the rhythm of time We make ritual noise We weave the fabric of dreams We build cities of sound We feel the rhythm of time We make ritual noise Wired to the world under our fingertips We take special...
... Sheriff, or tragic_culture 's bard as I had wanted, but I just never seemed to be in the right place at the right time (or free at the right place & time). I have a lot of floon now for Aralis, and am very sad that I have to wait and wait and wait until Septemberto play again. I'm hoping that begging enough will cause a summerrevel to occur! All in all, a great time. Now I want more...
There has been a request that I post the answers to the IG trivia contest from Aralis: -Who is the current Queen of Alfheim? Queen Veronica Eliesen -Who was the first King of Alfheim? King Elias -What entities did Elias treat with in his great quest to found Alfheim? Zerinus, Viranka, Leorin, Greymeir, Kaolan -What is the capital of Alfheim? Eliesen -Who is the current Reverend Mother...
Aralis was pretty fun. Lots of different neat interactions with various PCs and NPCs, a couple of good clean fights, and one amusing coincidence that proves Zerinus' power. :) The NPCs were great, lots of good roleplaying, safe fighting (even during one fight that we were sure was going to turn into one huge incident of charging), and they did all that on top of trudging up and down that awful hill...
I have a new characterconcept I want to try out, I have a lot of combat floon. Alas, I am not feeling so rich that I can throw down a lot of money for an event on a whim, I have tons of chores that really...that my younger daughter has finally managed to infect me with that annoying nose cold that she's had all week. Hrm, maybe I'll get to squeeze in some NPCing tomorrow if I'm lucky. We'll see.
