Today I dropped by the senior class at the Center for Cartoon Studies and listed to Thomas Summerall's presentation on SiteGrinder. After a somewhat less-than-stellar first couple of midterms, such as a 60.5% in stats (:p yay not knowing what I'm doing!), I puh-zoned the ECE223 midterm, receiving a wondrous 105.7%!!! (I've also now caused my prof to know who I am.. I walked in to pick it up, and he said "Rachel, right? I always remember the ones who leave early.") I got a gold star!! :DDD (for reals)

I wrote that paper in two and a half hours. That is RECORD TIME. Holy crap . Maybe it's because I'm so tired from not getting to sleep until about four last night that I was just typing stuff, which...the behemoth that is "The Hour of the Wolf" remains to be seen, since that'd be another 12,000 words or so, and I'm just about to lead in to the climax... Nod and smile, kids. Nod and smile. :D

GAH! BEST DAY EVER! I went to Chapter Arts Centre to take a peek at the venue where I'll be holding my book launch. Got talking to the lady who runs their gift shop and ended up selling the shop 20 copies...hippie-looking friend, who turned out to be composers who had just finished scoring a new film starring McKenzie Crook. And now these guys are possibly coming to my launch, which is awesome. WIN
