Thankfully, I haven't done much this weekend.  I am really exhausted from a difficult, but short week.  I am dreading next week, but I felt the same way in Basic Training.  You survive from weekend to...making the shift from seeing things as senior enlisted vs. officer mindset.  For example, they are used to barking orders at people vs. seeing that we are all peers. Anyway, just thinking out loud.

Woo. So, my sister is graduating from USAF Basic Training Friday, in San Antonio. I will be heading down to see this with my parents and my aunt. I wasn't going to go with them; short on money right now...being away from work, and, more importantly, irritating coworkers. Yay. First vacation, first trip out of state except for training, since last March, the last time I saw Jenna. I feel.... relieved

The Plan: To Germany today. To Dulles, then to Columbia, South Carolina on February 21.  First I will go through "reception" where I will be issued my clothing, get more immunizations (I already have...pdf I will post again whenever I can, but it probably will not be until mid-May (then I will put up one of my big catch up posts). Wish me luck!

I got my plane tickets today.  Unfortunately it seems I will be fighting holiday traffic over and back.  Anyway, I leave on Monday in the late afternoon.  I will send a mass email out to people on my contact... we convinced more liberal minded people to become military officers.  Think of the potential!  Or we can keep trying to fight things from the outside looking in...how's that been working so far?

Seven months it's taken, but the muse is back! I I've been mulling for some time on Auror training: the kind of things that would be needed such as physical fitness, first aid, field craft, etc, and not...the back of your hands and then pick up the training manual next to you. The next twelve weeks of Phase One Basic Training will, you think, seem like an eternity. "God help me," you murmur to yourself

I guess its only been forever since I updated this. I just got back from meps last night (the physical I had to have to join the guard). I have to go back up at some point for a psych consult, and Sgt...all of it, depending where I'm at for it. I already know I have to go to Austin TX for AIT. And.... I guess I'll update further when I'm not so damn tired. Right now I'm still recovering from meps

Well, it's been awhile.  This post won't be that long--I'll cover the gaps in another entry.  I won't have my own internet connection until 11/13, so then I'll be able to take my time writing all about...anyway.  I've got a few groups I hang out with regularly and I'm content.  I don't start classes 'til December so I'm just sort of hanging out here until then.   Keep in touch. Just got off the phone with Luke. He sounded HAWT! I have not heard him sound that confident and determined in ages. He sounded very sexy. he said he is doing fine and about the only time he gets to... He has even gotten used to his gun. I love a man that can handle a gun. *sigh* My husband is turning into a soldier, and he is so going to get hero worship Cake. And lots of it!!!!!!! *snicker

As another week comes to a close I sit in my room at my parents house and can't help but look back at my life and see how it has changed. I ask has it changed for the better or for the worse.
