Ceci n'est pas une pipe

E-Pipe starter kit Neither is this the "Smart" smoker Both from http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/health/newsid_7658000/7658566.stm (if it's still there) Nice to see the BBC advertising nicotine products on their website. You couldn't buy linkage of that quality. What are these things? Heaters or tiny ultrasonic vapourisers? (and if they are, do they have spare vapouriser elements?)

BBC is totally jokes

I used to avoid the news like the plague, but since starting my new job I've discovered that the BBC news website can provide great entertainment!  For example, today I read about the new tracking/research... but it just tickled me! It sounds like something Pratchett would write! Imagine these marine biologists sneaking up alongside a whale in a little yellow beach dingy! And suction cups...its about time

Tonga's king to cede key powers

Tonga's king, George Tupou V, is to give up much of the near-absolute power his family has held for generations. He is to surrender his role in day-to-day governmental affairs and be guided by...people don't ever abolish the Monarchy as it is theirs is the only Polynesian Chief/Monarch to have survived colonial expansion into the Pacific.  Silly nostalgia, but there I am.

Apparently our little shithick town makes it into the news for all the best reasons. Last time we made national news, it was because of a mutant frog or something. Today is slightly more interesting. ...saying is, that was the last interesting thing in this town. Now we're really reduced to retirement homes and greasy spoons in depressingly derelict back alleys. So long, town. Ever Forward, my ass

No need to buy Viagra - watermelon is enough ;)

Watermelon 'has same effect as Viagra' Eating watermelon has a similar effect on the body to Viagra, according to researchers in the US. It's down to a chemical called citrulline which is...pills. It helps relax the blood vessels which means blood gets around the body more easily. The research comes from the US' Texas Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Centre. BBC News:

Say goodbye to the computer mouse?

It's nearly 40 years old but one leading research company says the days of the computer mouse are numbered. A Gartner analyst predicts the demise of the computer mouse in the next three to five years... "The mouse works fine in the desktop environment but for home entertainment or working on a notebook it's over," declared analyst Steve Prentice. BBC News copied from carcino.gen.nz
