Subsequently to seeing Brideshead Revisited, I have a new crush. Behold:  

I wouldn't see this movie again. Its exactly what I thought it was, blatant Oscar Bait. It reminds me of Atonement, but without the joy of seeing James McAvoy on screen. Also, with more regret and guilt... that if anybody gets nominated from this movie, it will be Ben Whishaw and not Matthew Goode. It has a good score, and decent cinematography, though a little artsy for my taste. Overall, it was okay.

The best way I can think of to describe ...some trace of her , Katie Mitchell's multimedia adaptation of Dostoevski's The Idiot , is as a black-and-white arthouse film performed live on stage. I'm Not There I watched this movie as a person that is not a Bob Dylan fan and a person that did not know much about Bob Dylan in general. I found that with my lack of knowledge of the artist...research before watching this film if their knowledge of Bob Dylan is minimal. The film is cerebral and will require a bit of contemplation to get the entire scope of the film's message.
