Starting to feel a bit like ctober! Going to a birthday party this weekend - Our neighbors Jay & Sean are celebrating 1 year of Duncan being out in the world with them! BHK is making a cake, and got a cute outfit... pictures may follow later, if they're taken, and permitted. (Folks can be worrisome about kid pics on the net.) Watched SNL with in-laws - mostly silly political stuff about the debate...

... I think it's just been from all the hubbub at work and family-wise. I think being stressed about the bro has given me some clenched muscles and attitude issues, which I am trying to work with, too. BHK made some awesome quiche for supper... I know how spoiled I am. Two types - broccoli and cheddar, and soy-sausage with mozzarella. Sides of potato cakes, and more broccoli & cheese. Comfort food...

Dentist went reasonably well - tooth will require a crown in the next couple of weeks, but it looks like that will work out ok. The purple truck should be all better tomorrow - the issue was a timing chip that just failed - no "evil parking lot type" stole the catalytic converter, or fan belt. Entropy was the culprit. We're all pretty tired... early to bed, early to rise, dear journal!

Midweek, already? Not much happened tonight, save for burgers on the grill with the in-laws - hung out, and tv caused bhk to fall asleep - I'll be trotting her off to bedski shortly. Larry's Birthday - He made pancakes for us all... Tigger nearly escaped the house, and is now no longer allowed on the porch.. purely an indoor kitty. BHK made a lemon cake, an we gave him a lemon meringue pie and tickets to the bluegrass festival. (and the first three lethal weapon movies on dvd) Adam brought a keen gift of fridge and microwave combo for his workshop... and stocked it with 5 cases...
