Because I'm awesome at the random

I think we need to hand out awards. If we did, I'd get weirdest questions. 1. Birds are targeting my horse's poop. I know it's birds because I see her poop at night and next morning it's all shredded and blah. Why does it both me? Because to remove offending poop, I basically have to take out most of the dust underneath otherwise it crumbles back down, and sifting isn't an option because the f ers...

The performances so far!

I just have to tell you that the performances so far have been FANTASTIC! If you missed it, look out for the next performance or else you will have missed a brilliant and moving experience. In the...Louise - a great combination! Compliments were flying and Susan had quite a lot of interest in taking the project on - so WATCH THIS SPACE! By the way, are you three going to work together again

Rodent problems

We seem to be having a rodent problem at our barn... We are being over run by rats..grrr. I've tried everything but putting out poison, which we do NOT want to do. They ignore traps and the cats seem...moment we don't have any horses staying in the barn, everyone is on 24/7 turnout, except for a couple of horse with heat issues that come in during the hot part of day and then go back out at night

Birds' Eye - chapters 1-2

...early morning - four thirty-six am. The numbers etched into his memory forever, branded by the fire which ate away every last remnant of his life. From his position on the Dao Chao, Hojo enjoyed a birds-eye view of events immediately following the death of his household. Men in black, clearing away the ashes and rubble, men in white, calling the spirits of the departed, and men with hidden swords...

Can anyone recommend an effective, horse-friendly fly repellant?

Australian summers are famous for their fly plagues, so much so that the act of waving your hand in front of your face to chase them away is known as the 'Aussie salute'. Naturally the flies get even worse...lost count of how many flies I've accidentally swallowed! So does anyone know of a good fly repellant or fly killing spray that is not harmful to horses or humans? Any suggestions would be welcome

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

On my way home today, I was waiting at a light when a cop car came through the intersection, lights on and siren blaring, turned left in front of me and drove off into the night.  Following a little behind...of owls, that one I saved out of the road back in March turned out to have a broken leg.  They fixed it up and released it a few months later.  I am a little bit proud of myself for that one.)
