I start my awesome awesome new job today. :D I'm pretty excited, to be honest. I hope I make friends with the girl I'm training with. Is anyone else REALLY FREAKING EXCITED FOR HEROES TO COME BACK...the third season of How I Met Your Mother, 'cause it starts on the same day as Heroes! :D How exciting! I'm seriously stoked for Sept. 22. Bridget is coming home this weekend! :D I'm glad.
I know that there are a group of us who have just started, contemplating a reread or have Special Forces in their TBR pile. I talked with Marquesate and Vashtan to get feedback on if they would like...Blog section related to it, where I would post the related comment. We could then discuss each chapter as we go along. I guess kind of like a Book Of The Month Club. I hope that you will join me. :D
So, it's been a while since I remembered to post. Lots of random stuff going on this week, but really not that interesting so feel free to ignore everything I say. Mom was back to school this week, and...at the idea that I might be able to find an icon of Richard Hammond involving a woohoo! somewhere. I'll have to ask around. I really need a woohoo! icon. Starting on May 27 th , I have been documenting and reviewing every book I read. Sadly, my book total is not as high as usual, since I have been busy with other facets of my life. Most notably, the game...for my book club. Three graphic novels based on the Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore. The Trail of Cthulhu role playing game Misspent Youth role playing game Armageddon's Children by Terry Brooks
I decided to go ahead and make the book club. Hopefully people will join and maybe pimp it out? So the community is here: sv_book_club . The fics will be ones with Chloe in them as a main character...be interested in discussing fics. First up with be old skool or classic fandom stories. I finished this last night and have to agree, it is one of the best novels. While I think most people are acquainted with this story, whether through Bridget Jones' Diary or Keira Knightley's movie...her integrity. Very independent in her thinking, I think she is still a valuable role model for today's generations. Now what to read next, as I am still unwilling to subject myself to Henry James
I started to read "The Turn of the Screw" and, I don't know if the style jump from The Outsiders was too much, I found myself rereading passages and not comprehending a lot of the story. So, I am taking...ago and just never got around to it. So far, the first chapter had me laughing out loud. I'll come back to "The Turn of the Screw" before month's end, but for right now my brain can't handle it.
Okay, Breaking Dawn (the teen vampire book; final book in a 4 book series) is out. I'm fangirling. BAD. I'll probably have to text C from Lewis Central tomorrow or talk to her mom at work to see if she's... is resurrecting the book club.
