...and a YUKINOJO! i got to see and hold a yukinojo in person.=D and all the new people that i met were really great on top of that. it was just a nice group of people. i only wish the cafe in the tacoma borders was bigger or that there was an area to take the "men" to pose them -- kinda like that space in front of the shelves in the olympia borders cafe. any who, onto the important part, the pictures...
So i was in Borders the other day (you know, the book store) with my best friend and we were checking out these Kama Sutra books. Not gonna lie, they spark your interest like no other. I'm sure those books are the most interesting thing i've read in a long time, the most interesting pieces of work in that whole book store. Then the rest of the night sucked. I hate going to the mall on Friday nights...
...do not want to get in me and my moms way when there is a serious sale, it gets dangerous let me tell you. I think we spent like a hundreddollars there, which is so unusual for us! Then I headed to Borders and I got so mad! So there were 6 yes 6 sectionsdedicated to Twilight and I barely even found AGATB, there were I think 11 copies of TSFT and one of AGATB and no RA, which sucked cause that was...
...been four, though, if it had just held together at the end. Anyway, after I went out to eat with Daddy at the Paradise and had the scallops, which were very good, as usual. We also stopped off at Borders and I picked up Pride and Prejudice and two DVDs- the complete Invader Zim and the new Futurama. And Kathleen and Fred just got back from scuba diving, so I don't have to feed their fish anymore...
Heading back to the USA today. The Pacific Northwest is finally beginning to resemble itself: chilly, grey, drizzling. Yay! Spend a little time in Vancouver touring the other parts of Stanley Park...in distantWest Seattle (aka "Japan") where even the most adventurous mainlanders dare not tread. Will we survive there, where it is rumored that electricity and running water are novelties?
So. I'm reading this book called Ophelia by Lisa Klein and I really like it. Now I'm dying to draw about a millionpictures of her and the other characters from Hamlet . (For those that don't know...got the first volume of Night World , which has three books complied within one big one. It sounded interesting. Well, off to read more of Ophelia . Hopefully I have success with those pictures
... It was funfunfun with endless laughter especially from gay and irene. The irrannoying red-shirt guy, the white cardigan and the really boring, depressing-looking and irksome group of working adults. Borders to read books, but I was the only one falling asleep while reading. I broke my new record though. 8 + 6 pages, without falling asleep or shutting the book. :D! I officially declare that I'm not...
This is a rant on Borders. Yes the bookstore. There is so much wrong with that store it i hard to believe that I still work there. Truth be told it's the insurance. It ain't much but it helps. But we lost another "perk" this week. We no longer have an employee of the month at the store. $25 (of which the employee still got taxes taken out of) was too much to acknowledge an employee at store level...
After yesterday's Big Hike, we decided to calm things down with several short walks. The photo is from a mosey around the Mt Baker ski area where we reached an altitude greater than Goat Mtn just...that this is not much of a problem most of the time. It's usually 68 degrees and raining here on Canada Day. But in the middle of a dry heat wave, it feels more like the Guadalupe end of NAFTA.
Spent my entire day at borders book store. I see no point in buying books because I'm a fast reader. On top of that, my library sucks so I don't even bother checking it. I'm extremely excited for 'Breaking Dawn' by Stephine Meyer to come out this august. I love the twilight series and I rip right through them. The first twilight movie comes out in december, I'm not so excited for that. They're going...
