Have any of you baked with local stone ground whole wheat flour before? I have a bread that I have to make (a braided ring) for next weekend and have never baked with stone ground flour before. Are there any suggestions that you guys have for me to have the bread come out the same way it does with the store bought flour? Is there anything extra I need to do to ensure proper rising? Look what I found: If your bread machine has a timer, let the yeast...
We had so much fun last week, Holly and I have decided to make Wednesday our official "cook stuff" night, so she'll be coming over tonight. We're going to make banana bread and try to make some wheat bread in the breadmaker. Granted, it's no hand-kneaded bread expedition, but we're starting slow. :P Okay, very slow. Baby steps, people. Baby steps. I'll try and remember to do pictures and a post tomorrow...
