I've just found what I think are the two perfect cake toppers for our wedding! Mine: My FH's: His seems especially appropriate since he's holding a wrench - and that's what he does...cars. So what do you think? They are 5" each, and shouldn't be too heavy considering they are a very thin tin. Even if they are, our cake lady said it'd be no problem to put extra support in the cake.
I keep seeing this cake topper and I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of the place I can buy it. I would like to put it on my escort card table at my rehearsal dinner. TIA!!
Now that I've gotten our cake covered, it's time to think about toppers. I've never been a fan of the traditional bride and groom cake toppers . We're not sticking to a whole lot of traditions anyhow...topper from Etsy seller buildersstudio . Super cute, but not really our style per se. I could really spend all day looking at cute custom cake toppers. I'll be sure to post more if I find some
I just got these off of eBay yesterday. I'm so excited!!! They are from the Living Dead Dolls Mini series 4. Everyone, I would like to introduce to you "Died and Doom". At 4 1/2" tall they will...I should go to a pro to straighten it out and to dye it black. I still don't know if I should do the streak or not. I'm thinking not... Anyway, that's the update for now! Only 50 days left! 8

Oh and is it ok if brwdladr watches the community without making his own introductory post
I found out about these custom cake toppers through this community, so it's only fair that I share mine with you. I just received an email with the proofs, and they're totally adorable! Here is us...the website - I don't recommend it if you're low on bandwidth - the galleries are awesome, but my work computer can't really take it. And she's been great to work with. So I definitely recommend them
I guess I still have weddings on the brain... I'm coming up on my first anniversary (June 30!), but I saw these in a catalog that I get and thought of the community. :) I think these would work great as a cake topper for anyone doing a fantasy/renaissance/fairy-themed wedding: http://pyramidcollection.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=P24356#zoom
Okay, a slightly extended "progress" post involving all the other random details after my dress post, I suppose. I feel like I'm finally making some headway! The pertinent "reminder" info: Wedding date... Michigan. Gorgeous old house and garden. It will be outside under the tree below, I believe, since we'll have around 100 people. No idea about reception yet: [ Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('

Okay, a slightly extended "progress" post involving all the other random details after my dress post, I suppose. Colors I liked for our scheme from Cards and Pockets . I really really really liked the...also have somebody local make my dress. I'd also be all over letting a local-ish culinary student make our cake if we could find somebody creative and interested in attempting something like the above
