So I find myself going back and forth between having a cupcake tower, cheesecake, a dessert bar, etc. I am definitely thinking of doing something a bit outside of just the traditional wedding cake. ...a homemade cookie buffet instead of a candy buffet for favors. Here are some inspirationpictures for that as well ;-) Thanks everybody
... and everything is coming together. Most of the coordinating stuff that I was worried about has been taken care of. We can take our little bits of decorations to the Shamrock Club on Thursday, the...light (it's just papier mache), so it should be fine on the cake my mom is making. And.. just for fun... Here's Betsy "helping" me open packages. *cough* I didn't think this post would be so long
25 days to go! For those of you replied to my previous post about undergarments and Maggie dresses, thanks! My mom and I went to Macy's today, and while I didn't find any long line bras or bustiers, I...getting measured for tuxes tomorrow. We're also going down to the cathedral to finalize music for the ceremony. We meet with the priest next Wednesday to solidify readings and other ceremony details
So today Daniel and I had our meeting with The Dessert Tray in Beaverton, Oregon. We met with Robin in their shop at 11am and, unfortunately, we didn't get up in time to eat breakfast first, . Now...delivering to both our reception sites. FH is pretty much sold on them, and I think I might be too, but we're still going to do a few more tasting. X-posted to my personal journal and wed_pdx
Awhile back I bought The DIY Bride: 40 Fun Projects for Your Ultimate One-of-a-Kind Wedding and this week I did a trial run of one of the crafts I am considering for the wedding: a cupcake stand. Since...filled lemon cupcake with lemon cream cheese frosting I made the lemon cream cheese frosting from scratch and it was just to die for! What do you think? Are my cupcakes good enough for a wedding
Hey ladies! So FH and I don’t have a set date, but we are aiming for October 2009. Here are some things we are pretty set on as of right now. NOTE: I have probably takenpictures on here from just...few pictures of FH and I. (groomsman and bridesmaid at a friend'swedding last September) Please let me know if you have any comments, ideas, suggestions for me! Thanks so much!
I'm at a loss over what to do about the cakesituation... Our main goal is to save money and we don't know any bakers. :( The restaurant we've rented out for the weddingreception has a menu deal that...new cake that serves all 65 people. The reception venue also has sorbets as a dessert option. There you go. Fancy cake and ice cream. (Probably the most expensive option and it's WAY too much food!
Heyladies I've got lots and lots of time off at the moment and I'm feeling crafty. So I've been looking at making a cupcake tower like this I've been googling all morning and I haven't been able to find any tutorials. Help? I want it square, made out of a not-too-heavy wood and collapsable so it's easy to transport. TIA
My fiance and I weren't particular about getting a typical wedding cake but definitely wanted something we both loved without the headache of designing and relying on timely cake arrivals. And so, we...unique and with some design elements, it should spice up the look of the cakes alot. :) I was going to request that the restaurant maybe add some fruit or something to the cake for a personal touch
