Yes! They have a third wall! And I only had to tear the entire set apart to get it! The reason I was willing to do that is that, for the first time in the history of Generic Surface, the next comic...two completely separate sets for this RC now. So I didn't mind pulling this one to bits before I rebuilt it. Also, Steve is the only person we didn't see walking around in this strip. Poor Steve
IT IS A HUG. THEY ARE JUST HUGGING. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DO THAT. You can always tell when I think the content of a strip is boring -- I start playing around with camera angles again. Also, I made this strip today. I have no buffer right now, so it's touch-and-go whether I'll be able to sustain this storyline on a daily basis.
I haven't made an icon for this RC yet. I'll change it over tomorrow. Also, y'know, it is a pretty reasonable thing to be nervous about... when two of your guests have a history of trying to kill each other, they might not be who you want to sit next to one another.
Is there some deeper meaning to it, or did I just get bored of blank corridors? I mean, sure, black is very PPC, but that much black? I dunno. But apparently Tango noticed it, too. Er... right. Fun note: Steve and Tango are walking in step. Innit cute?
Have I done this joke before? I know I've done it at least once in written form (Mortic and Elanor being informed that they've joined the DoWTF), but I'm not sure if I've used it in the comic. It is overused, though. This is also, I think, the first time I've tried a "they said in unison" line. I hope it came across that that's what was happening...
Ten points for anyone who figured out this was where we were going next. This, you'll note, is the newly expanded RC #4952. It now has a side wall to the left, and -- not visible in this comic -- an extended wall to the right. Well... sometimes it does. They're actually the same piece of wall. So I have to keep switching them back and forth. Also, Constance has a crazy.
