...the extra space! The 200 photo limit was a bit too little for me. Anyway, I was sifting through my harddrives to find something else, and I realised that I left all my edits and selections from my Cambodia trip in Singapore. Argh. I have the original files here though, so I did a re-edit of some of the stuff in it, and I kind of really like this one above. In other news, I am very sian, and every...
Go Team Cambodia! (From Phnom Penh Post) I just finish watching live on TVK, Cambodia kick Brunei's ass on the football field with my dad. The AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 Qualifier games are being held in Phnom Penh. Cambodia beat Brunei 2 to 1. Such a good game, so close! The play by play: Brunei made a point in the first half. Then during the extra time, Cambodia made a goal. Then Cambodia...

So, for everyone who is reading this, it's probably Monday. For me, it's Tuesday, which means we're in Cambodia. This morning we rolled out of bed, had a nice (but quick) breakfast, and then got on a plane for Cambodia. For whatever reason, I'm fine with going to Thailand but the idea of Cambodia makes me somewhat nervous—possibly because Cambodia is linked in my mind to images of the war...
...to the head, jumping stomp to the chest, etc. (all strikes pulled so as to be just taps, of course). It was a bit clowny for my taste, but quite dramatic. Then we came home, I typed this up before it turned to memory-mush, and now I'm going to fall into bed. Tomorrow morning we're up and out to go to Cambodia (specifically Angkor Wat) for a day and a half, then we come back here. Sleep good!
So far the news I'm reading since the talks the other day between the military commanders at Preah Vihear are good. Well, comparatively at least. The fact that they are dug in & glaring with itchy trigger... it's not looking as though the Prime Ministers of both countries will come to an agreement any time soon. But at least their soldiers are seeing the benefits to not fighting in the meantime.
I'm trying to find out the cheapest, easiest way to get to Cambodia in January. Jojo gave me his possible itinerary which is simple enough via Bangkok through PAL and Bangkok Air. Leaving: 01 Jan - 10:30am - 11:30am - Manila to Bangkok 01 Jan - 3:10pm - 4:10pm - Bangkok to Siem Reap Returning: 05 Jan - 7:35pm - 8:45pm - Siem Reap - Bangkok 05 Jan - 11:10pm - 3:35am - Bangkok - Manila Grand total...
...going. What if they ditch me? I mean, two years in a row I ditched Danica to hang out with James, but what if they ditch me? And I found out like three days ago that James is going to volunteer in Cambodia. Cambodia. CAMBODIA. FREAKIN' CAM-BO-DIA. THAT'S IN ASIA! I dunno when he's going, but it's CAMBODIA. They have AIDS, Malaria, Hepatitis, Syphilis and other nasty, probably fatal things...
