...- and it's widely expected that the swingagainst Labor will be savage. The ACT's general election, also this Saturday. If it's like how it was in the lead-up to the Tasmanian state election in 2006, Canberra TV would be swamped with lots of ads for individual candidates rather than that of the party, given their voting systems are the same and encourage this. Poor things. The big one on November...

We were lucky to get a glimpse of the cheetah as she left her enclosure. It was funny to see her take her keeper for a walk!

Today is the day of my first professional presentations and I won't deny I'm nervous. Excited too. Let's hope that everyone gets something out of it. (Sheesh, he's only speaking for seven minutes! You'd think it was an address to the nation!)
I'm off to Canberra! This is the first time I've been a speaker at a conference that I haven't been involved in organising. I'm a little nervous but I'm sure it will be ok. Updates to follow.

My carspeedo facts are: Total Km travelled = 251,777km Trip A (From home driveway) = 2656.5km Current Trip B (reset after each refueling) = 381.4km Before I leave where I stayed, I decide to findout what the building next door to me is (big with satallite dish's) and see it's Prime Television. Not much occurs...
It was not long after 5am Monday September 22nd when I left Orange, NSW for Melbourne. So far my total car travel had been 2287.1km. The trip to Canberra, ACTtook 3.5hr's @ a distance of exactly 285km which also got me to see more wildlife (Rabbits, Roo & a sheep) as well as the sun rise and a very low fog while driving through the hills/mountains towards Collector. My actual day in Canberra consisted...
No Tiny Tim thankfully, but plenty of beautiful blooms at the Canberra Floriade . The theme of this year's Floriade was Australian films , which made for some interesting designs. However, the funniest sight had to be... the celebrity garden gnomes! More photos here .

Tonight is my final sleep over before my long detoured trip back home to Melbourne, via Canberra [via Collector] where I’m planning on spending the night in the back of my car in a motel/caravan park. I will be leaving Orange by 5am Monday morning (tis now 11.50pm Sunday night!) to arrive...
...I am. Last three weeks of term and here I am at home, infecting everyone in my family and in the meantime going through 6 boxes of tissues in three days. I love my family. We rule. Oh, I went to Canberra. With a bunch of my brothers friends from his "Scouts". Basically that meant drinking Jim Beam & Coke out of my McDonalds cup on the banks of Lake Burly Griffon at 1am, talking about fail cake...
