... but I am a bum and startled myself awake at five of 8.  I threw together a warm enough outfit for the day, scrambled to brush my teeth and hair, and ran for the bustop to catch the 8:20 Unibus into Canterbury, where Jae and I took the National Express to London!!! We were both completely exhausted, but really excited.  We napped and I read some of "A Wrinkle In Time" on the bus (it's a 2 hour ride...

it's almost 3 AM and tomorrow is London, so today's entry is just a promise that there will be an awesome entry tomorrow, and an assurance that there is an awesome story behind why my room is no longer a swamp. Good times.

Wednesday started, as Wednesday always does, with a fire alarm. I accidentally slept until 9:30 after being alarmed of the lack of fire in the building.  i was supposed to meet my group in our seminar...tried to watch Doctor Who, but failed miserably.  And that was my day.  Now I'm listening to the Meet the Robinson's soundtrack and getting ready for bed. I suppose you shall hear from me again soon

My, but today was brisk . Weather-wise, that is. Excellent weather for walking, if a bit cold; just the thing to whip some colour into your cheeks and make it worth your while to brew the perfect cup...on Halloween weekend. Oh, the excitement that grips me! After all that walking, though, I'm entirely beat. And my feet are throbbing. But I've got a cup of one of my nice new teas, so life is good

... ALSO I talked to Sarah this afternoon, and we figured out when she is coming to visit!! Now the challenge will be to figure out a way for her to sleep comfortably, and for her to get from London to Canterbury without spending an arm and a leg, or getting hopelessly lost. I need to pick a weekend to go to Italy with somewhat the same success. Other than that, I have a lot of editing of my play to...

...Thursday a lot less stressful and a lot more English-riffic. Jae met me in the city after class and we wandered around in a part we'd never wandered and found out you can get a 40 minute boat ride on the Canterbury river for only 5 P with your student card. That was really exciting, we've added it to our list of things to do. Jae came over to my room after since I was feeling even more under the weather...
