Mood: Sad about Eli; glad not to have to go out after all; happy to be at the house with Internet and only Daddy home, therefore able to procrastinate working on schoolwork *sigh* Well, it finally happened...acquired volume 1. It's pretty stupid (sorry, Kittycow), though cute. (Like Sailor Moon, only drawn much better.) I think the artist's talents could have been directed towards a meatier, less-cliched story

I woke up today and hit my snooze 3 times. I ate some cereal, took a warm shower and biked in the rain to school. I worked on math in the lab with Sam and then went to my 2 classes. It was wet and...tell I've been damaged and I simply need to sit back and repair myself for a while without ignoring the rest of my life. Again, I'm just along for the ride! Let's see where this baby takes us

This is why: I go back and forth to Germany a lot, and Ive noticed over the last 6 trips or so the German drivers seemed to be a bit aggressive towards us and our plates since no one there recognizes them...but not in the local stores yet. If I find where you can buy one locally Ill let you know. Or if you know where I can get a matching set, please leave a comment. Americano top 10 >>> Read more...
This would explain the sudden "basso-profundo" sound that showed up on Sunday. In related news, Matt noticed that the garage was open yesterday, so i guess my mechanic is out on bail. *sigh*
The front bumper is falling off my car, thanks to hitting a GINORMOUS bit of cardboard on 183 that caught under my bumper, flipped up onto my windshield, and then flew off over the top of my car. When...and look slightly less kludge-y than it does now. It's a 2003 Honda Accord, if that matters, and I'm at 183 and Mopac and work in Cedar Park so not having to go all the way across town would be golden
In other news, I've put the lie to recent criticisms that my yard is becoming a vehicle junkyard by wiping out the nest of yellow jackets that had created a nest inside the driver's-side mirror of Echo's...higher than it's current value. The wasp attack I didn't notice was happening until I was several pages into the Chilton's manual also provided a nice symmetry with the recent bee attack on my father
One idea I had awhile back was to put aside a little money at the end of each month in an "emergency car repair fund".....basically the money was still in the checking account, but I was acting like it...much in it, so we're going to plasticize the repair bill on our lower rate card, and use the fund to pay down/pay off the bill. Its better than if we hadn't set that money aside at all, I guess.
Car is returned. Ran about $250 less than expected, various discounts and the way procedures were coded. So it still stung the fundage, but not as badly as I thought it would. I can def tell the difference in the steering and handling. Can't wait until I get my new tires on it Saturday!
