My wrist has gone from 'needing to crack a muscle discomfort' constantly to 'banging your elbow/shin pain' constantly. It REALLY FUCKING HURTS and is swollen. So excuse me if I don't type much on msn. Drawing is out of the question, obviously. Hmn, it's almost half way through half term and I've done nothing but be online and have crap sleep. I am awesome.

So... it appears that I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (Self Diagnosed). My wrist has been hurting for a few days and getting worse and traveling up to my elbow. I finally went to CVS today and bought a $26...!!) brace to hopefully help in the healing process. What sucks is I'm not very good at typing with it on and I can't do my weight lifting in the morning because it hurts too much without it on. sigh

Avenged Sevenfold are growing on me, I blame Dino. Hrm, so we still have no freaking idea how we're gonna manage to pay college, I'm sure it'll all come together eventually, it has to, I guess. Ugh....up in a bandage as we don't have a very good wrist brace, which reminds us, we met someone in work (a customer) who also has carpal tunnel and she said her doctor was as useless as ours. Great

Well, after a really unsatisfactory interaction the hand and wrist guy ordered a test to determine if I really have carpal tunnel syndrome. That was this morning. Unlike most of the people who do medical...have surgery. I am, of course, EXTREMELY right handed. The handout he gave me says it can take 3-4 weeks to be able to write or type comfortably, and you don't get full strength back for 10-12 weeks..

As of about 20 minutes ago, I'm recommended for carpal tunnel surgery. I'll be consulting a hand surgeon immediately upon my return from Burning Man. There's a 99% likelihood that someone will be cutting...your entire life within the space of a fraction of an inch. I'm bad at asking for help but if you guys could think some nice thoughts for me (clap your hands if you want), I'd be most appreciative

I've noticed that my wrists don't have to be flexed or extended to have tingling, numbness and pain.  I've had a painful area in my rt shoulder blade area that if I try to stretch my neck down or flex...haven't worn them since.  Thank goodness I didn't have to work today.  I'd have definitely called in. I haven't accomplished anything this weekend but a roadtrip w/K to Randsberg and Kernville on Sat

I saw Dr Wongworawat Wed in Loma Linda and told him about the tingling and pins and needles in my thumb, index and middle fingers.  Now he's going to send me for an ENG test for nerve damage.  Great. ...lost? I had a massage today and that made my neck and arm feel much better and then I got 6'' cut off my hair.  No more layers and no more fried ends.  Yay. And yes, I've become a Twilight whore.

  Surprise, surprise, my dad’s in the hospital again, in Texas this time.   So he’s officially gotten admitted to the hospital in every state he’s visited in the last year.   Nice.   So they’ll...from typing so much.   Seriously.   I bartended for years without this happening, but get it from working in an office for less than a year.   Weird.   I don’t understand the world anymore.

One of the many reasons I'm glad I can get all sorts of orthopedic and support products online . I have trouble with my neck, and I have found that a variety of memory foam pillows, lumbar seat...cold therapy applications and more. Yes, back , neck , shoulder and joint pain in general just isn't any fun. However, it's great to be living in a modern age, where relief is only a click away.
