Well we finally handled the whole cell phone issue today and she surprisingly had good enough credit to be able to get her own line. Which I am thrilled about because it would of cost me $200 to cancel...me. Knowing that at any moment during the night I could wrap my arms around her and hold her close to me, or just give her a kiss on the head. Ok...I snapped out of it. No crying for me. *Toodle-Loo
...of people who I think might be able to assist me..... we will see what happens when Monday rolls around. On an exciting front- I went to middle school and high school with an amazing woman named Carrie Audino. We went our separate ways after graduation without drama, just kind of incidentally. She moved to LA to pursue a career in TV/Movies. I was watching MadMen the other night and saw her name...
...anything. Poverty happens... to me. *sigh* On a high note, I got to spend a shit load of time with Lenny... and tomorrow he is off. Tomorrow night we may even get to sneak into Unknown Hinson with Carrie. That would rule. In other news, saw ZZ Top and ate at Taste of Asia with Lenny and with our double date couple Carrie and Dave. Besides being my photo pal and best buddy, Carrie is so talented...
...plus exorbitant amount of alcohol.... why do we do this to ourselves?????? Woke up at my normal time (6:00ish), was finished with the dogs well before 8:00a.m. [that's when the kennel opens]. Being Wednesday...... grooming day..... had dogs start showing up by 8:30. Carrie (our groomer) was here a little after nine. Six dogs scheduled for grooming... of course only three show up. Never fails.
QUICKIES: 1. i finished Carrie just fine. The book's not really all that scary... but really dramatic. I relate it to how i felt when reading Sybil by Flora Rheta Schrieber. A true story about multiple personalities disorder about a woman, Sybil, who had the record number (at the time) of 16 separate personalities. She was repeatedly traumatized as a child which lead to the disorder, and Carrie...
... I wanted to read more Stephen King books but i hate horror... i find NO pleasure in horror. But i find a great deal of pleasure in reading Stephen King's amazing writing. The other day i picked up "Carrie". I had a good idea of what goes on in Carrie. I knew she was a tormented girl who was abused at home and treated like dirt at school. I knew she had telekinesis powers and ends up becoming the...
...opposed to moving straight on to the Hunter S. Thompson biography I have to read next. So Duma Key, well I really liked it. I wouldn't call it the best thing I've ever read (that title still goes to Carrie & The Dark Half) but it was much better than the last Stephen book I read, It. The characters were really interesting in Duma Key & it wasn't as far-fetched as It & the way Stephen wrote it was...
...it was like Drop the drama queen act Nate, you're not on Gossip Girl, let your mom and Skills be together! Then, he listened to me, good Nathan! *CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK AND HOPES HALEY KICKS NANNY CARRIE'S ASS FOR TRYING TO TAKE AWAY JAIME* ANTM: I felt so bad for Hannah but I offically am using the phrase "I'm going to pick up my beans and keep on rolling." I love it! That was not cool though...
