Found a lovely review of Ruins Metropolis this morning (okay, Google alerts found it but still....) so thanks Kate! :D http://www.litopia.com/forums/showthread.php?p=92539
My contriubtor copy of Ruins Metropolis arrived today. Looks purdy. Cue more happy elephant Peadar! I'm at hometoday and tomorrow minding my son - translates as watching The Fantastic Four cartoon...hibernating instead and praying for sun. But anyway, Ruins Metropolis looks great. Really looking forward to getting stuck into it. I think I will bring it with me on the trip next week. YAY
x-posted from www.rflong.com Just got the word that the anthology Ruins Metropolis from Hadley Rille Books should be available within the next couple of weeks. It contains my story "Carrying Keptara" as well as those by xanthalanari and camillealexa As soon as I have the link I'll post it up.
I had great fun at P-Con over the last two days. There were some fab and informative panels, lively debate and much handwaving. I met up with theladywolf and irishkate and great was...look (I've mentioned it before; that look, the one which says "why oh lord have you cursed me with such a dense mother?") and said "It Yos". There you have it. How could I have been so misguided
ericreynolds has the TOC for Ruins Metropolis up here . I'm rather excited about this! :D Can't wait until its out! ----------------------------- In other writing news, I heard back from an...night intending to watch it while Hubby is away. Sad now! ----------------------------------- As my son told me the other night, its only "2 more sleeps" until my hubby comes home. R
I heard yesterday that Hadley Rille Books have accepted "Carrying Keptara" for the Ruins Metropolis Anthology. I like this start to the new year! It is good in so many ways. :D *dance of joy!dance...dance of joy!dance of joy!dance of joy!* Meanwhile Puzzlebox: 7963 words, which is 39.8% of the target. Behind, but in a good place. It is not easy to write with a hyper six year old around.
A couple of bits of news today. The print edition of Haruah 11-13 is out (Spring 2007). I have two pieces in it - Anything for Love (a kind of psycho ghost story) and Ushering the Soul (a poem). It also...stuff... I subbed Carrying Keptara to Ruins Metropolis, so we'll see how that goes now. Should be about a month, they said. Other than that, I had a lovely weekend with friends and family. :D
Yes, an actual genuine new story. Over 2000 words and everything. With a plot. (I think.) Its called "Carrying Keptara" and is supposedly for the Ruins Metropolis anthology which closes next week. No... suggested recently, that might also make her the Last Templar! Having got her to put the costume on, (she looks adorable btw), I didn't think it would be a good idea to confuse matters.
