What a great album sleeve from my new favorite band. The Explorers Club. I've been digging their vibe regularly on Gary Crowley's wireless show and it's finally stuck with me and I have ordered the record...it. Ira Robbins dissects ECs 1979 album Armed Forces in the April 1979 issue of the excellent but now-defunct new wave magazine Trouser Press (which still lives on online) When Bob Dylan broke up with his...certainly holds its own. One of the most unsung bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. They never fulfilled their early promise but judging from this debut album Lightning to the Nations (and the fact that Metallica covered...metal band, not to mention well-regarded by people in the know.
