I think, at some point in our lives, all little girls want more than anything to be Lucille Ball. I went through that phase when I was eight and then I graduated to wanting more than anything to be...more people knew her work. She was so painfully, painfully funny. Since I am so extremely irritated by the kind of petty BS and other nonpolitical involvement that takes place in the election of a United States president, I am cheered so thoroughly by fake political...submissions of Patton Oswalt's own myspace page. The one immediately above I have printed and placed on my car.  You know, the one with the MST-referential license plate frame?  Enjoy the election!

I hate the word housewife; I don't like the word home-maker either. I want to be called Domestic Goddess. I know how to do anything - I'm a mom. The thing women have yet to learn is nobody... no matter how quietly you go, so you may as well go kicking and screaming. Women complain about premenstrual syndrome, but I think of it as the only time of the month that I can be myself.

Steve Martin Interview On NPR's Fresh Air . It's peculiar that I liked him but wasn't all that big a fan when he was an A-List star. But hearing his story about how he suffered from panic attacks early...is made into a catch phrase, totally detached from its original context, it loses something. Just a quick one to say, I finished my Film Studies assignment, I still have to present it, but it took like two seconds and it's been lying on my floor unfinished for about 2 weeks... ...is, how many wars their countries are involved in, or how evil they are, people will laugh at something. Whether it's a parody of Barney confessing that he is gay, or Tina Fey's awesome Sarah Palin impersonation, I think what matters is that they make people's day a bit better by bringing them joy. That said, my favorite comedians are probably the Seinfeld quartet, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler.
