Trust me, the cut text will make sense later. Red-headed spoilers by the dozen. Having some mysterious-thing-we-can’t-see running around in a field of wheat makes me think that Rod Serling’s gonna...hello? (Don’t show her this post/journal, though. It’ll just make her sad and go, ‘Oh, ragdoll, you were such a nice and quiet girl when you were in my classes! Why are you cussing so much now? D= ’)
Before I get to the bits relevant to this episode, I need to point out that I was a complete idiot about something in the last one (this isn’t spoiler-y, btw). When Ambrose is talking about an ‘Alun’...address is on the bottom of the page, so you can try looking it up from that. Talk to these guys. They can show you how to animate a human face with expressions that humans actually make. =D
Think I’m almost back on the schedule I attempt to keep myself on for these (‘schedule’ here meaning ‘posted before the day the next one is airing’). I mean, I at least rewatched this and took notes...Who on BBC and V on ABC, but for DW to supposedly always be so ‘low-budget’ and still come out with feature-film-quality effects, while V makes N64/PS1 graphics look cutting-edge…I don’t even know.
This one I do slightly regret getting out late, but I’m still all thrown off from last time. *shrug* Plus, the final chapter of Fullmetal Alchemist is out, so that takes priority over everything else...I think you can get out of that dress. Abigail!Master: Is that an invitation? Original!Master: Now that would be different. And brilliant! But later! Abigail!Master: I’m a psychological minefield.
Really don’t care that this is so late, since BBC America’s decided not to show episode seven until the 5th (the later this is, the less time it feels like you have to wait for the next one, y/y?). Showed...of Rose and Mickey, although the ways Amy shows her affections with both the Doctor and Rory are rather backwards at times given which one she says she loves and which she supposedly does not.
I think I should’ve saved myself the trouble of typing most of this and just found a transcript of the episode. I’ve ended up quoting large portions of this episode, how many spoilers do you think... Anyway, this is definitely the story where Eleven becomes a Certified Badass, so way to go Matt, and my compliments to Karen on her acting in all the scenes where she had to keep her eyes shut.
Yes, I am seeing this whole episode as one big Dungeons and Dragons game. Hey, it’s not my fault they had to go and call themselves clerics… Crap, now all I’m going to think about is what Steven Moffat’s...for it before the reveal. If they someday decide to officially explain exactly who/what River is, it most likely won’t live up to anything we’ve imagined her to be. Anyone else feel this way?
Something odd I was wondering about, if anyone knows the answer-- The description Comcast has for this episode on On Demand calls BBC America ‘BBC 15 America’. Does that mean that what we get is technically...watching the show, so we really got to see how Matt’s Doctor does things. (FYI, he does things like a boss .) Holy fuck, just how many times did I type the word ‘Dalek(s)’ in this thing?
Congratulate me, this isn’t as late this week! As usual, please remember that: # of spoilers under the cut > # of packets of ramen you could get with $20. Sooo… in the future, teachers are replaced...to not disappoint, Karen Gillan continues to be awesome, and Steven Moffat continues to write up neat stuff out of things that most people don't even notice. *likes how this season is going*
