So for this round of the contest, I decided to use my new universe.  I came up with a story (took me a damn long time to hammer this universe out) and figured I should take it for a test run before I post...everyone in the building, one man was still alive. Sand still fell in front of her eyes and over her skin crawled the ghosts of scarabs, little legs pricking and scratching everywhere they stepped.
