If nothing else, this convention is emotionally draining. I have watched most of the big speeches-- and just watched Joe Biden's shellacking of John McCain. I don't think I've ever seen this level of catharsis and overemotionalism at one of these conventions. It's like a big sloppy family reunioninvolving a series of drunken reconciliations. Or, since these things are as scripted down to the semicolon...
for Dragon*Con - which means 2 almost-but-not-quite 50 lb. suitcases full of shiny goods to sell at the dealer's table I'm sharing with the Firefly Cargo Bay . Why it ended up taking over 4 hours to...an autograph from Nathan Fillion, although I'm debating the amount of time in line it would take to achieve such a thing. Maybe he'll come by the table instead ... [insert puffy dream cloud here
I've been listening to the Democratic PartyConvention this week, and I am not impressed. Or, I should say, I am impressed but in the wrong direction. You read that right. I have been listening to the convention, on the local NPR station. I have not been watching it. I am not aware of any of the visuals at the convention. I have no idea of the bunting color they have selected. Listening is a different...

...running overtime by about 45 minutes was starting to push my sitting-in-corset endurance levels. So when that was done I located David, then returned to the room to be unlaced. He returned to the convention action while I decided to try and get some sleep. Saturday we were up bright and early, breakfasting happily then returning to the Dysk to help Tech during the Maskerade rehearsal. I wasn't...
...to go on clearance, but that hasn't happened yet. 8) Conschedule (at this point...) Kumoricon this weekend, Orycon in November, (I think) Norwescon next spring, and the North American Discworld Convention next September. NEXT September, as I've had to tell 3 people now... :) Life keeps on accelerating. I'm not sure what is going to happen in the near future, and I have no idea where I'm going...
So. Animania. I went through my pictures as well as the ones I collected from others and decided to upload a couple from Saturday. Mind you, this is barely a fraction of them - any more and my connection...seem pretty happy about the idea of decapitating Aizen. Which would make sense. But it seems Aizen's pretty happy about it too. Random Aizen is Random, yes? (Note the plushie Unohana is holding!
So, since I went to Anthrocon in Pittsburgh in July, I had finally started making plans to attend more of the events around the Furry community, not necessarily because I identify fully with the anthropomorphic...I'm on best con-behavior too). I'll be flying in Thursday evening to check in and relax before the fun-filled weekend and leaving on Monday afternoon. So be on notice Chicago people, here I come ;
New times for the events that I’ll be running or involved in during Dragon Con (when not running my art booth):

So we leave for Dragon*Con Thursday evening. Cool! Two weeks ago Joe ordered some Stargate patches for us to put on our outfits so we'd have at least one costume. I'm waaaaay burnt out from work, so I...with Joe to work and they all commented on my cinnamon rolls and breads when I met them at a gathering Joe brought me to a few weeks ago.) Okay, I'm exhausted so off to bed with me. Yes, this early
