I had a fun weekend at Mephit FurMeet . I ran the writing track with the help of slysquirrel and Phil, and spent time with them, Andi, Wanderer, Linnaeus, bauske , and others, some from...(what's wrong with that?) -The con's printer-smashing event, inspired by the Office Space theme. Somebody bidded $60 to take the first swing! -The incident with the mouse, which still has me giggling

I thought I'd do a brief write-up of the highlights of the weekend - aside from the wonders you guys could plainly see in the photos. Namely, the panels. We arrived pretty late on Friday (~5 pm - fuck..."BUMBLEBEE!", I'd be filthy rich) so that it took 30 minutes to simply walk across a room... but I'm a camera whore, so it was a lot of fun. XD Here's to maybe doing it again next year! Peace out~  

Holy cow, it's been more than a month since I posted. I think that's a personal slacker record for me. So much has happened, I hardly know where to begin. At the same time, it's all the same stuff: kids...James Olmos . Now that my children are back at school I finally have a regular time slot in which to write. If only I could catch up. I vow to use LJ more often. Fingers crossed I can pull it off

...school, a girl names Jessica Moss came to Porter Gaud. She was gorgeous, confident, and she liked me for some bizarre reason. And she and her fantastic parents read comics, watched anime, and attended conventions such as DragonCon. Meeting Jessica and her parents opened up a whole new world for me. Jess taught me about being a GIRL (yes, flattering clothing and make-up can do so much!), and her family...

... there were just so many things that made your mouth drop open in appreciation. I didn't run into any snooty costumers either--it was so refreshing. It made me feel so limited going to only anime conventions to be honest; there's always backlash on people who wear anything other than anime stuff. Heaven forbid you come up with an original design; you'd get laughed out of the con. D*C, however,...
