Решил тут провести небольшую проверочку производительности обоих процессоров. Задача состояла в вычислении суммы всех корней от 0 до 1.000.000.000. У меня дома два компа, один из которых Core 2 Quad ... Напрашивается вывод, что или так оно и должно быть или написание действительно быстродействующих программ под Quad-процессоры требует специальных оптимизаций (что весьма вероятно). Вот собссно и все

I bought a new cpu off eGay yesterday and about an hour after my payment had been made I received an email telling me that the person I'd bought it from had had their account suspended. It wasn't much money, but still... I don't know whether to just claim my money back now or to wait to see if I haven't been burned or not. There goes one of my weekend projects :(
