THIS was soooooo worth it! So, I made a costume for my 3 week old niece. :D Oh yeah, you knew it would be that, didn't you? LOL However, she's not as thrilled with the camera as her big brother. Big thanks go out to archaicrebel who took the pictures for me.
So, my good friend toadwart managed to abuse the strange cerebral link we share and convinced me to join in on the Strawberry Shortcake & Friends costuming group she's been putting together....Pie The Whole Strawberry Shortcake & Friends Crew (at those that made it out to the event, anyway). And one with my little Padawan, just before he went to defeat the evil Darth Vader.
They totally own me, and I know it. But I really don't care. A couple more pictures from the big day (my BIL was a little slow with the uploading, and Jes just got him back to work, so she pulled them for me).
When my phone rang and I heard Katrina & the Waves serenading my ass, I knew that my sister was calling. I expected an update to the indefinite inlaw situation, maybe something about the present we're... he informed me and Mommy that he wanted to call Namaw... "Tell Namaw NOW!" So, while I am quite certain this little chapter is far from over...we've got ourselves another Big Boy in the family. :
Apparently stubborn is a genetic trait... Shelby has not decided it's time to come out yet, so she's still holding court in the womb. They sent my sister home. :( Not enough along to keep her there, and...the spaghetti method (more Peterson's have been born after a spaghetti dinner than anything else...seriously). So, I get to have a quiet afternoon at home to get some things done while we sit and wait
As most of you know, I call my youngest nephew the Lucky Boy. The reason for this is that he was born at 7:11 and weighed 7lbs 11oz. It's also because my sister would kill me if I tried to call him Slurpee...conclusion that these two are going to be an evil pair of schemers. And we better be very careful that soon-to-arrive Shelby isn't the unwitting target of their mischievious plots for world domination
The last several weeks have been really crazy for me. What with painting the nursery, helping my sister get ready for the new baby, taking care of my brother's kids every other weekend, costuming, sewing...of myself invested in them, and it means so very much to know that people have accepted that piece of my heart and taken it into their own. Thank you, from the depths of my heart, thank you.
We had the unveiling of the nursery today. And I put the finishing touches on it this morning before the baby shower. I'm completely exhausted, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves, and answer... And just for fun.... A picture of my currently youngest niece, Miss Sunshine, experiencing her first strawberry.
