Um. Not quite. Dean says on the way to Greenville, Illinois, "Yeah, put up by HER UNCLE, a man we never even met." That would mean he was the boys' Great Uncle. Ed Campbell would have been... Samuel's... Ohio for the Sin City case. We don't know that John DIDN'T team up with Ed at some point, though. It IS the family business, after all. Is this fic-prompting anyone? ;) *crickets* *shuts up nao
The tropical depression/storm is blowing through North Texas at the moment and the gusts of wind have dropped the temperature from 100 to around 85. People were outside watching the clouds race across...to go on at 11, but I plan on gettin' my celebratory drinkin' on before then - especially if we can BREED THE BLAKES and take the Old Man to the Square. It's time to let the MazRocket rest a while.
We're trying to get our butts in gear. We're working on Zilla as much as we can to see how quickly we can get it ready. To be honest, we kind took a break for a while because it was still in the 100s every...bring me a brewski. And the wheel brake lines aren't bleeding. Why? Blockage. Intense. We didn't want to have to do those, too. Insert cursing. Early Nite. Lots of parts buying to do online. Rawr
It's been gray all day and threatening to rain, so Aaron is using the time to research carburetors online. The carburetor that's on there is missing parts and even though it works, it doesn't work...hoses taken off and even if he started, he ain't stoppin' anytime soon. LOL Aaaaand he's a little dirty from all the rain, but he's good. May we'll get out there soon. Rains cooled everything off...
So we spent a few beers, I mean hours, I mean beers, bleeding the brakes for the new master cylinder and installing it and accidently busting the rusted brake lines on the old master cylinder so that...of the fuel lines coming out of the pump was cracked in five places. So we took all those off, too, including the filter. Good luck, O'Reillys, AutoZone and NAPA. This is your LAST CHANCE TO BE USEFUL
Just got done changing the oil on Charlie (my other truck) and installing the new gauge cluster in the Old Man so I can read in miles and gallons and not kilometers and liters. Needs calibrating. Ick....so wrong. Every time I look at this, I .... die a little inside. Neener neener, -The Lid P.S. This is not part of the saga. Just wait. Pic stolen from smidgy06 who took it from llc149.
Yes. If there is anyone who's still checking the LJ world, we will be in the valet parking in front of the hotel with John's Truck between 9 and 11am (as close to 9 as we can) Saturday and Sunday. It should be on the more bearable side of hot that early in the morning. :) Also. Chad and Gabe and Fred are of the fun.
Didn't hear back from the Creation coordinator. I'm gonna go up there in the morning and talk to the hotel management in person and make sure everything gets handled. ( Had to work a full day today. :P...with 'PIE' on the front and 'DEAN' on the back. And boots. And maybe jeans. LOL Yes, you can take as many pictures as you want, so bring your camera out with you. The Old Man got a new trans pan gasket last night. That's all we got around to because it was FREAKIN HOT and we spent some time talking to Gary, who has parts from an old Mustang that Aaron can use to...linkage where they updated it from the stick to the automatic. *facepalm* It's easier to work on in the driveway, if you don't mind kitty litter in your ear. Brake Master Cylinder? TONIGHT, YOU
