Since Mor quit, I've been online almost constantly. If I'm not out somewhere or doing something with friends I'm sitting online. Not doing much of anything. I should be out running, going to the gym, getting... Fuck you justice system! Anyway, I feel gross so as soon as the 11th Hour is over I'm going to go shower. Or... Maybe I'm going to clean up a bit first, then shower. Man, my journal is boring. Haha
Well that icon . . . that's just cute ^_^ I love making these things. I couldn't manage to reach the Sgt. by phone, but then Mom pointed out that she had left her email addy in the letter as well, so...my little part of the world; I think I'll clip my bangs a little later since they're starting to fall in my eyes and that's not the look I wanna show up to an interview with, lol. Happy weekending!
You know what I'm looking forward to? The Day of the Dead. Not the movie. The holiday. I've read stuff about it but now I will (hopefully, God willing) actually be in Mexico to see it. We have Halloween... No dressing up like cartoon characters and trick or treating at the mall for this one. I totally want me some sugars skulls and catrinas. Dig it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Dead
Today is the end of my working week. Tomorrow I'm taking a day off and heading to Milton Keynes with Pip. We shall also meet up with Carole for coffee, which will be lovely. Not seen either of them...that he falls asleep shortly after arriving home tonight. Nothing else much to report... Pretty ordinary day. Going off to poke about in the fridge and see what's not exceeded the sell by date
I love to take pictures but recently I don;t feel motivated to do so. But I've decided to take more pictures and post them immediately for all my family and friends to see. Today I had my Japanese class...induced hunger from class we went to Don Don to have something to eat. Sauce Katsudon @ Don Don Cafeteria We were able to get seats for the shuttle bus to Toyonaka Campus today!
This evening, I attempted to make homemade butternut squash soup. I think it would have worked out much better if I'd had that hand blender to work the squash into a smoother pulp as recommended by the...not follow the books well. After I finish Dickens, I will seek it out and see if it is true or not. If you have not seen Cranford , let me see if this one phrase might entice you: cow in pajamas
Well, that WAS the question.... After searching for a house for 5+ years, we finally made an offer. This house (House A as we'll call it) is a ranch on a completely flat lot with no trees. OK, there...to the people who put in the higher bid. In time, the economy might stabilize, and House B might come down in price. And I might convince my husbanded he is a frustrated woodsman. Ha! PollyAnna
Where oh where to begin ? Well, I finally got to meet emosnail for the first time in person about a month or so ago, which was AWESOME, so that's a good place to start. We did not get to hang... especially in the arts of negotiation and multi-tasking. Classes are going well, my 2 jobs are going well, and occasionally I even have a few spare hours to play videogames. Life is pretty good.
Happy Yom Kippur everyone! So I've been sick all week. One of those really mind-blowing colds that migrates up through the grapefruit-sized tonsils into the sinuses and then expands inside the skull...already put my mental fingers in my mental ears. And so, in the end, caffeine was had and a lesson was learned: Don't unintentionally fast before you fast. Especially when sick. I go lie down now.
What is it about garlic that gives me a raging thirst? I had some garlic bread with dinner this evening and my mouth can barely produce any saliva. So far I've had a litre of water and I'm still spitting...left her to it I'd need to get the environmental health people round in six months time. Anyway, I am in dire need of an early night, so I will post this and hit the mattress with Terry Pratchett
