...cos they're EXACTLY like this except for a few. Ugh, only about two more days of my summer vacation left! Since there's only about two or three days left until school, I've decided to give up on Damo (for now). I really love the concept but it's depressing and I'm not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed The Legend or Hong Gil Dong . I'm not sure why I'm not enjoying it that much... Maybe cos...
AWESOMEREBEL GUY IS CHAE-OK'S LONG LOST OLDER BROTHER?! WHAT?! This does not bode well... You'd think MadTV's kdrama parody would've prepared me for this. Suffice to say I do not ship them anymore. Today is not a happy day.
...with A HAPPY DANCE! YESSSS! MCGOSLING IS BACK! W00T W00T! Yes, I totally ship them and I'm not ashamed! They're hot, they're together and it's awesome! Something else that is awesome is Damo . Seriously, it's so awesome. It's about Chae-Ok who's a "damo" (a tea servant) in the Left Police Bureau but really she's a detective. A female detective in Korea in the 1600's. She's the first and...
One of Damo 's points of brilliance is that, much as I love Lord Hwangbo Yoon, in episodes 4-7, just like Chae-Ok, I fall completely under Jang Sung-Baek's spell. He is a rebel leader fighting for a just world! Who is incredibly loyal to his friends, treats lepers, yearns to find his long-lost sister, and executes a scumlord who uses parents' debts to sell daughters into sex slavery. Not to mention...
I have recently gone gaga for the kdrama Lobbyist , starring Song Il-Gook. Rambles here (spoilers through ep 11) . I have also started rewatching the awesomeness that is Damo . Rambles and caps on first two eps here . Oh, and of course, Iljimae ep 3: Caps here . I have also been fixating on Jumong , deciding to check out Sandglass , and gleeing over the end of Bara No Nai Hanaya...
.... Caps of that and many other moments of awesomeness coming. There might have also been high-pitchedsquealing in the house at that, too. But this post is not about that. This post is about Damo . DAMODAMODAMODAMODAMO. I started showing it to filmi_girl and, once again, its awesomeness hit me like a ton of brick: the prettiness, the emotionalintensity, the strong heroine, the...
filmi_girl came over and I started showing her Damo . We watched two first eps and, my God, I've forgotten how incredible this is. This definitely belongs in my Top 5 kdramas. Prepare for meta and caps (am dling eps for capping right now). But this post is not about that. LOBBYIST LOBBYIST LOBBYIST . I loveepisodes 10 and 11 more than chocolate ice-cream. What do I love? Maria...
I think it's about time for me to rewatch Damo . A 14-episode drama, Damo was one of my earliest Korean dramas, and all these dramas later, remains one of my favorites (I don't love it as much as Legend, and probably not as much as Hong Gil Dong, but it is still psychotically good). Filmed like a movie and written better than most movies ever get (and, at 14 eps, with no slow spots or pacing problems...
...about the cancelled trip and also about your car. So to cheer up your woes, here's Gong Yoo for you across the years... Spy Girl . 2004. Age 25. She's On Duty . 2005. Age 26. One Fine Day . 2006. Age 27. Coffee Prince . 2007. Age 28. PS. Apologies for the inappropriate icon but I'm currently obsessed about Damo !!
I've been very bad about crossposting my drama posts lately, so I have quite a few asian dramas and movies built up to crosspost: My Top 10 doramas (though I cheated and it's more than 10...) cdrama... Once Upon A Time The Restless I also made icons of My Girl, Capital Scandal, The Restless, and Once Upon A Time in two multi-fandom posts. here and here
