I just got around to watching this show. It's a good one. Right away the music and some of the acting kind of shocked me. I didn't realize how much it was inspired by soap operas, or how pants-shittingly...a lot of fun. I found this really good episode guide for the entire series. The whole "not coming" site is pretty awesome to me, with some decent summaries of some really obscure movies. More later
Another relatively short show due to a road trip. Here's what you'll hear today ( direct download here ): Splitsville: "Tears Are Cool" David Lynch: "Buddha's Belly" ( IODA ) Laura Clapp: "Let It Rain" (
i just ate a chocolate chip cookie, a cinnamon roll, a pumpkin muffie, and a dish of sherbet. i'm so0oOoo00oOo0oo full. my body feels disgusting. i wish i hadn't done it!!! idk what came over me! i'd be...people go around not knowing shit about it. HIV was discovered in 1983 and yet the average person probably knows more about the current political candidates than they do about HIV and AIDS. appalling
last night was so much fun! thursday night partying really is fucking magical. (from the other week -> chloesometimes.livejournal.com/92494.html ) ive been pretty anxious when i've been out lately...i thought "i wish i hadnt come out" or "i want to go home" - thoughts which have been scattered too often across my party times of late. also, i love sadie - we have so much fun together (L)
I've been thinking, especially in light of the film I just watched . Well, if you're still reading: you've been warned. One of the most common elements of my storytelling is the relationship between...thought a little by the end, and forgot why the Lost Highway summary was even specifically relevant. So much for being a good writer. Ah well. You were warned not to bother. Don't blame me.
After a full hour of elliptical-machining, I came home and put on, on a whim, The Pervert's Guide to Cinema , a documentary with Slavoj Žižek I picked up on a whim at Movie Madness. It's rad. It's...galore. And I still need to take a shower before bed; I smell like someone who worked out. Which means that once again, when I need to wake up at eleven, I go to bed at four. Sleep is for suckers.
Julee Cruise - Rockin' Back Inside My Heart from David Lynch's Industrial Symphony 1: Dream of the Brokenhearted This is such an incredibly beautiful song. Dreampop is what I'm all about.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmMwKBMse_w David Lynch's short film, The Alphabet. In a world full of nightmares tonight, this almost seems like a sweet dream. Knowing that the truth has a face, a...accusation that lingers like a bad perfume long after you leave. frenetic notes scribbled on my hand offer no answers to the hole I burned inside myself. you are never far away from my heart
