I think this is the second Cruxshadows lyric I've used for an entry title? Oh, no, I used my favourite line of the song "Tears" as an MSN message once... "Gambit flow of shifting thought" - that was... though; it was bugging me all day, I could NOT remember what exactly it was that had kept me awake. I went over the whole thing a zillion times in my head trying to get it right and finally...phew.
Mark your calendars for October 11-12th for the third annual HONK! Festival. HONK! is an exciting and eclectic festival that features activist brass band musicians throughout Davis Square in Somerville...org. HONK! is a great local event committed to social change and promoting the reclamation of public spaces. Check out our page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=22439809451
Some young punks have apparently been freely harassing Davis Square residents for some time now. That thread begins with someone describing how he was assaulted and slapped around by them, apparently...chargedthe kid with theft. It would be nice to see that power turned on something that's actually a criminal threat to an entire local population. I hope that something like this is indeed ramping up
This month, I've taken to running the commute from Davis to Kendall Square twice a week. It's about 3.5 miles in total and takes about the same time as riding the subway, given station stops and walking...near a brick condo that would be cool to have at our place, if we had the space. Beacon also has a couple of restaurants we plan to try out, one focused on breakfast and the other pimped for burgers
Our little boy is off in Virginia with the in-laws attending Day Camp at my Father-in-Law's school for the next two weeks. Thus, kiekre and I have the opportunity to stay in Boston/Cambridge after...be great. I am enamored by Davis Square and would love to try a few dinner/dessert/drink places there. What should we try while we await the return of our dear little man who I already miss terribly
It feels likely that the replacement hormone level from the MGH study is lower than my naturalamount. That means my body's more likely to retain fat. Not worried about getting fat, really, but even...be. That the city makes car-stealing and extortion a business model reflects how much more creative they could be solving issues of clean streets and parking enforcement. Don't like to end on a rant
Typing this post from a Boeing 717 in the air over Texas. About to land in the next 45min for a "work event" - the IANS Lone Star Information Security Forum. It starts tomorrow AM and ends Wednesdayafternoon...the end - we both got our apologies in and realized that we were both in the wrong but that didn't happen until the following day leaving at least two people in our household to go to sleep saddened
So I'm going on a 4th date Sunday afternoon with someone I'm really into, and want to do something outside and beautiful, and within walking distance of Davis, preferably in the Teele Square direction. Any brilliant hidden spots to picnic? Or other great ideas? I'm new to this. Thanks!
I was sitting with SpeedyIma and Speedy at JP Licks and was staring out the window when I noticed a 18-21 or so year old man with anarchy wristbands on and a US Army recruiting T-shirt. Did I miss something in this fashion statement?
