We have two big summer holidays on our house, blueberry day and strawberry day. On the first day that local berries show up at the farm stand, we have strawberry shortcake or blueberry slump for supper...stir with a fork. Drop by the teaspoonful into the boiling berries. Cook for ten minutes and com over with a tight lid and cook for ten minutes more. Serve with hip whip or soy delicious or both :

I am looking for a delicious (and hopefully easy) recipe for a vegan version of tiramisu, that even my omni friends will...So I'm wondering if anyone had a yummy recipe that is free of citrus, or if you could let me know what I could use to substitute orange or lemon juice/lemon peel, etc. with. I'm trying to follow a TCM diet the best I can at the recommendation of my accupuncturist. Planning actual meals is fine, but I'm having such a hard time figuring out a kind of dessert I can make myself...or margarine anything frozen Anything else is fair game.... I've been eating alot of date rolls w/coconut lately but I've just been looking for something else. Anyone up for my challenge
Please help me decide what to serve for dessert on Mother's Day! I've been pondering it for days, and I just can't come up with what seems like the right idea. I'll be serving a seitan/puff pastry appetizer...place. I'm open to all ideas, though anything calling for agar isn't going to work. I'm out of it, and getting more requires a "special trip" I won't have time to make before Sunday. Thank you

I had never heard of Whoopie Pies before, but I saw a recipe in the Jan-Feb issue of Veg News, and I had to try them. They turned out yummy! Whoopie Pies Makes 14 sandwiches Cookies: 1¾ cups whole... and while that makes the pies taste a little blueberryish, it's actually pretty good. I bet strawberry or raspberry would be awesome. Also, these are super sweet, mostly because of the filling

While the... I believe, came from a miscalculation in substituting powdered agar for agar flakes. What is a good ratio for powdered to flakes agar substitutions? I've been meaning to post this recipe for pfeffernusse, a traditional holiday cookie that I believe is of German origins... I do know that there is great variety in what people call "pfeffernusse" - and... - Don't worry, licorice haters.
