...some of the people I have befriended on here. People I know that are going this year that I have limited (it is LJ afterall) conversation with on here, and would love to meet in person. I also missed Dexcon which was actually close (in NJ) due to prior commitments. A few people I would love to meet. drivingblind and everyone else from Evil Hat, flamesrising who has a very cool...
...this, but for the new people, this explaination is for you.] I just got back from Toronto this morning after hanging out with my friends from the fan fiction writing community at an event dubbed "Dexcon." It's basically an excuse to drink copious amounts of alcohol with people who enjoy dissecting their favorite fandom (mostly with this group, its comic books, and the movie versions of comic book...
I'm home. 'twas a good, if not perfect, con. Had a couple of RPG events that could've been better, one of which was a pretty bad misfire, all things considered. (Probably an acceptablegame, run competently...hoping to get a chance to plat D&D 4, but there were only a couple of events, and the session on Sunday afternoon that I signed up for got canceled, and I'm not in the least bit sad about that. :

I believe I left off on Saturday afternoon. After the game of carry, I ran a scheduled game of With Great Power... It was my "Mutant Academy" scenario. I had two players: Duke and Tom, plus Kat played...for the hugs and the driving. As always, the Double Exposure staff was helpful and friendly to the Nth degree. To be honest, I'm not super-excited about GenCon, but I can't wait until Dreamation
Kat, Michele, Don & Joanna Corcoran went out on Wednesday to get the ball rolling. There was a bit of a problem with the hotel stuff, but nobody had to sleep in the car. My part of the con started...spending the next 20 years in a military stockade. What beautiful tragedy. It's NOW time for me to head to work. I will edit this to include the rest of Saturday and alll of Sunday when I get the chance
