So I'm sure I'm not the first one to ever think this but something occured to me a couple of days ago about our intrepid heroes. Isn't it funny how neither 'wanted to go', but that's exactly what happened to them? In a way they met the same fate (under different circumstances, of course), but in each case, against their wills. Follows on from: What Donna Knew Abruptly regaining consciousness, the Doctor’s first thought was that he felt pleasantly safe and warm. This wasn’t a familiar thought on waking by any means, so he immediately set about diagnosing the reason for his contentment. He became aware of the smell of human surrounding him, which would also explain the warmth. Donna. Remembering the day...
Follows on from: Let's Hope We Never Have To Find Out Donna’s day had been quite trying, not to mention emotionally upsetting. Having settled the Doctor after his migraine, she now lay with his body draped over hers, drawing light circles on his back with her fingers. As the Doctor walked into the kitchen, exactly half an hour after they’d parted, the most delicious aroma greeted him. At first he thought that Donna had come here and spent the entire time cooking, but looking at her from behind, he could see that she was now dressed and her long hair was wet and plaited. Padding across the kitchen, he could smell the hint of her shampoo and soap as well as the food...
