De Vooruitgang, 11 Markt This large touristy looking pub has seatingspilling out onto Eindhoven’s main market square. An unusual feature in the large bar area is an old Daf 33 car; Daf used to have a factory in the town. As I mentioned in my bloglast night, I've just come back from a work trip to Eindhoven and as promised here's the first part of my review of the bars. Bars in Eindhovenappear to be dominated by beer from Belgium, which is not a bad thing in itself but it is a shame that the Dutch beers seem to be limited to the pilsner style Bavaria and Dommelsch. Even the Trappist style La Trappe is rare. However...
In December, I left America completely and spent a month in Holland visiting a friend of mine. Although I had visited Europe two times before, this was the first time that I had stayed so long. And...not really Dutch if you can't ride a bike. They have little horns and if you don't get out of the way when they honk their horn, they will run you over and you will get hurt. It's not a joke.
Last saturday Aniek and I went to a concert of LEFT and youmeatsix, because I won tickets. (: We were standing in the front, on the right side of the stage. First LEFT came. I didn't think they really...with long hair. ^^ He was like headbaging all the time. Too bad I deleted my movies. He was one one fer sure. And I couldn't see Dan good, because he was behind his drums. But anyway. That was it. xD
