I realised that I didn't have a clock in the lab, unless you count the ones on the PC screens, which of course disappear as soon as the screen saver starts up. So I brought my old LED clock out of retirement... But I did find a handy way to connect wires to C-size batteries that don't have anything for crocodile clips to get a grip on. I stuck neodymium magnets to the battery, then stuck the clips to those
I need a girl sized headset for the new phone. Anyone use bluetooth headset and have a recommendation. These are my caveats: My hearing is poor, so it needs to have fairly good sound. I have small ears, so it needs to be sized appropriately for a woman. That is all. If I can't find one I like, I won't get one and probably be just as happy.
I got home at 5:30 and was fast asleep by 6:15. Hoppie woke me up by playing with the airco around about 8. He was amused that talking to me had no effect, but the beeping of the airco woke me instantly...connections to trusted and known machines, and this one isn't. Ugh. I really need to remember to post my blog posts when I've finished with them rather than keep them forever on the editing board
So I have an HTML/CSS problem. Is there a way to have a bulleted list item (say using the ol and li tags) whose li item consists of two columnsincluding an image? I was using a simple two-column one...trick for that matter) I can employ to have two columns in a list item with the bullet appearing aligned with the top line of each column? Here's a crude illustration:
Preliminaries: So when I get my confirmation slip of the new order, they've signed me up for a 200 minute plan. Well that should keep me satisfied for about two weeks. I call up customer service yesterday... I realized that I'd selected AT&T as the provider on the Palm and the actual provider was cingular. So I switched and now it works. So I listen to over 100 podcasts. (!) And an ever so brief IM conversation earlier reminded me that I've been saving this list for months. So now without further delay, here are my notes. In bullets ...fellow did that on his 'cast (it was about UFOs) and nothing adds credibility to an argument about how UFOs are from another dimension as much as punctuating your fevered dribbles with a clown horn .
As a member of the NMIC family, one of the things we have searched for that was originally thought to be lost to the land of PRC made things was an mp3 player, but recently, I discovered this little...play or 5 hours with video, the ability to load even iTunes ripped tracks and finally a price you can feel good about (only $79.99 on their site). Finally, a media player that you can feel good about
Walked out of the store at 7:15, after getting in line at about 1:30. We're tired, hungry, and hoarse, but happy. Despite staying in line that long I had a fun time. We talked with the folks around us...I brought a book with me but really didn't have time to read it. Isn't that something? Almost six hours standing and sitting on a mall floor and there was no time to read? Hee! Fun! :) I'd do it again
Because of the server slam, users of the first generation iPhone are advised by The Register to hold up on the update: Anyone with a 2G iPhone or an iPod Touch would be well advised to steer clear...least until the rush dies down and gives iTunes time to catch its breath. Full story . Fortunately, I didn't update last night on account of expecting to get an iPhone 3G today. We'll see if it works
