Well, here goes: I once had a professor (young, not too long out of his own PhD program) who was giving me some advice on admissions. He said that grad schools putting together a class for an English...tied to Victorian literature in case I need something more marketable. I love it as well, don't get me wrong, but I don't want to be the weird theory girl no one wants to dance with at admissions prom
Received a phone call from GP today that went something like this: GP: Omg! Seymour! you won't believe who I just had an argument with?! SF: Em I dunno, Antioch GP: Oh no, not him. Someone else,...a plan to save her from herself and as obnoxious as that sounds girl really is unstable. and the essay? yeah going along as well as crap in a chocolate factory. boo for lazy!can't-do-shit!seymour.

I wanted to take tons of pictures around uni, which GP (we were having brunch) said looked like hogwarts, and it really did! It's been constantly snowing today, flurries and all. I LOVE snow, despite... I might have gotten a little too angry. Next time, less olbermann and more maddow! Then had Eng language with Su and IC, which we finished off with a snowball fight. And now I'm in bed.
Hi! I am interested in going back to school in fall of 2009 to get a MA in English (Literature). I graduated last year from UC Santa Cruz, and am looking to get an MA, and then apply for PhD programs....program. I know I can do a great job in whatever MA program I can get into, and I've already started studying for subject GREs in preparation for something I won't have to do for 2+ years! Reassurance
Hi, everyone. This community has been an enormous help to me. My situation is unusual: I'm a dramatic writing (specifically, playwriting) major, and I'll be earning a B.F.A., but I'm applying to M.A. English...experiences until now have been diverse, but I am eager to become an English student—to gain exposure to more literature, to acquire the tools of scholarship, and to crystallize my interests.
